Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

Even if you have any issues, keep in mind it was said that a potential fix could be released for existing cartridges, so that's something to look out for.

    Which flashcarts do you own?

I didn't know about the existence of the GBbridge, seems like an interesting concept, the part about having the ability to play GBC games on GB is specially interesting to me. Can anyone explain how this would work?

    Which flashcarts do you own?

I recently bought two Flash2Advance carts (one of them was sold as broken) as a historical curiosity. Yes, they are very awkard to use nowadays, but some of them should work with the GBflash so that's something worth trying, I was able to flash stuff to my 256M cart. As for a reasonably price...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

I haven't used mine in the last month I'll admit, but I didn't have any issues so far, all games loaded for me every time. However, I remember it was mentioned before that results may vary between units of the same revision, I believe the presence of hardware modes greatly influences the...

Original ZSNES developers reunite, emulator gets a revival as Super ZSNES with a swath of new features

Perfect, now bring back the Nesticle. Jokes aside, with the emulator being made in Unity, I wonder if there is any impact on input latency since it's running on top of a complex engine.

25th anniversary of GameBoy Advance. What are your best memories?

Yes, I did know, but as I said in my previous post, I was curious for older systems so I thought it was cool to try out an older console even if the one I already had was backwards compatible (except for GB/GBC games of course)

25th anniversary of GameBoy Advance. What are your best memories?

I didn't have the GBA back in the day, I had the NDS Lite. But I used to swap my NDS for a translucent AGB-001 in family meetups with a family member, just because I was curious about older consoles (this was before retro gaming became a really big mainstream thing). However, after the swap I...

Homebrew Homebrew game [RELEASE] rd-132211(old minecraft) ported to the 3ds!

A cool history of Minecraft ported to the 3DS, nice! I wonder if someone would be able to port the leaked Pocket Edition 0.6.1, even though that code is legally dubious, but we would get proper Pocket Edition instead of the weird official port. 1773422476 Survival mode didn't even exist at that...

Will this be after or before the replicants take over?

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

It's not a major issue (if it's one at all) since it's expected the user will eventually flash a newer version in this kind of product. For anyone upgrading, keep in mind the latest version needs to be flashed like if it was the first time flashing SuperFW (from the DS flasher or bootstrapping...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

That FRAM version is really interesting. Although not an essental upgrade in my opinion, since the battery should last a respectable amount of time. Does anyone have any estimates for the battery lifetime? I've been testing more in my 02 AGB-001 model, so far it's working great!. The savestate...

Faulty F2A Ultra 1G (any hope left?)

I recently made one of those dubious second hand market purchases for a broken Flash2Advance Ultra 1GB. It was already advertised as broken, but I bought it anyways since it was sold for a really good price and it came with the harder to find USB linker cable. Anyways, I tried to reflash the...

Oh, maybe I'm lucky and mine is unaffected, I'll report if anything weird happens in my unit

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

That's great! Although in my limited testing I was able to flash a bunch of games to flash without issue. What was exactly what should fail on 02 motherboard GBAs?

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

I just received my cart from the ChisFamily store. The presentation is actually really nice for a product so cheap. Seems to boot just fine with the same micro SD card I used in the Supercard, I will test more in the coming days (specially the behaviour in my 02 GBA)

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

I'm glad the culprit was found. Since I already ordered a Superchis, I'm more interested in "fixing" my motherboard. I already added a capacitor somewhere else for cleaning up the audio anyways. If you can share what kind of capacitor is needed and where it needs to be soldered, I can test if it...

'Life is Strange: Reunion', the conclusion to the Max and Chloe saga, announced

This is the most accurate description of the saga and I'm mad I didn't think of it first. (Full disclosure: I only watched a gameplay of the first game, but already saw some undertones there)

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

Turns out, I do have an 02 GBA, bummer. I guess I can still use the cart with the DS. Now I want to know more about the power issues, is it related to the type of battery in use? I switched to high capacity IKEA LADDA batteries (the 2450 mAh ones) since I modded mine with an IPS screen. Or is it...

    EZ-Flash Air DOA?

Well, I do know about PassMe, but the Ez-Flash Air doesn't let you load them (right?), unless it's something related to link mode. The other PassMe flashcart you can still buy new is the Supercard (and Superchis)

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

It's a newly created store, although the company that manages it is not new according to the license information. Anyways, it's common practice in AliExpress for the same people to have multiple stores. This one has the free shipping option though. Thanks for the link!
