Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hey all. Hope you're all well. I have posted this a few days ago on the AIO thread and have updated my findings but here because I wanted some input atleast. So freinds oled switch modded a month ago. Working fine. He left it on dock overnight. Morning he found it was hot and turned it on. It...

    Picofly AIO Thread

Update: Did a reflow on the emmc and the short on the cmd resistor went away. The pico glitches successfully. However, I'm still getting a black screen. I noticed the 47k resistor next to the cmd resistor was shorting from one side. So ended up replacing that. Funny thing is, removing the...

    Picofly AIO Thread

Hey guys. Hope y'all are well. Had a weird issue with an OLED from a friend. He's had it all picoflyed and runs normal but he left it on charge over night. It got really hot and now gets a fast + slow code which is a cmd problem. So i checked it out and ended up replacing the cmd resistor with a...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

So I'd like a definitive answer. Is a 33k ohm pull down recommended on the mosfet installs, regardless of the mosfet. My chosen mosfet is aon6554. Its a big one but glitches are fast. Thanks. Just want to put this topic to bed once and for all.

Pull downs are min 1k. But it all depends on the device amperage voltage etc. Calculations need to be made to correctly and accurately to determine the pull down resistor for the mosfet and its circuit it is gating.

    DSi got wet. Any advice?

bummer, also don't try to turn on the console if you know its water damaged. It will only add to the corrosion around the connectors. All the best with it.

Update on the OLED problem. Found the culprit and such a relief it was too: Such an oopsie moment. I was sleep deprived when I did this one but glad it got addressed and found out. All is working well now. Thanks for the help guys and again, it was the user install error....not the firmware...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Will take a pic when I have a go at it tomorrow. Now that I think of it, I did use a different ground point this time. Might change that to a point that I'm more familiar with. Who knows. Quick thought, could it be a bad mosfet? Oh wait. Reading around some people have the same totk switch...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Ofw runs as normal. Normal boot. Picture and everything 👍🏻. Or did you mean a photo of the other side of the motherboard (mosfet and emmc side)? BTW, had a look at the 3.3v but no, seems bridging them doesn't matter because their on the same line. And ofw boots so definitely not an issue on the...
