This is the reason I like to use Ophcrack. It makes the whole process so simple you don't need to copy the SAM file no risk of corruption of any files. Just burn and reboot. see this youtube vid on how easy it is- player_x

download ophcrack burn it to a cd reboot and boot from the cd, its as easy as 123- player_x
