    Neither of the files worked, I'm sorry to say. I tried moving the date to 2000, and it still did nothing. Oh, and I also tried it with a smaller (16 Gb) card, though it did not change the result, and I cannot find any smaller card

    It should, at least it said so for this r4? I'll try it with this card once again, and if it doesn't work, I'll try buying a smaller card, maybe a 16..? As for this one, I formatted it many times, most of those using said formatter and setting it as fat32, with a 32 and 16 cluster.

    So my gf bought DS Lite, we bought an R4 SDHC and we tried running multiple different kernels: linfoxdomain <- the ones listed there did not work, wood also did not, ysmenu- same, some found on youtube also did not. Each time i formated microsd card (32 Gb, maybe here lies the problem???). Yeah...

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
