Emulation Hardware Homebrew How to Transfer Friend Code from 3DS to Citra?

I know I need to dump friendsave.bin from my 3DS, but I am not sure what files are needed to make Citra register my system's friend code as its own. For some context, there is a function in Tomodachi Life that requires a friend code in order to work properly.

OK, so we are all here because at the core, we are GAMERS. Which consoles do you currently use? I'd like EVERYBODY HERE to chime in!

I have! I haven't gone as far as to put PS1 games on it yet, but I've given it a custom theme and Adrenaline, which is the PSP emulator for the PS Vita.

Hacking Hardware Homebrew How to do PC-based CTRTransfer with just one 3DS?

I think so? I'm just going to wait until I leave the place I'm currently staying at to fix the charging port. I have enough power in my 2DS to back up any saves to Citra if I want to continue to play them.

Hacking Hardware Homebrew How to do PC-based CTRTransfer with just one 3DS?

I don't know how to solder, and I'm staying at a place where I'm not allowed to get my hands on soldering tools to work with. I would have to wait about 3-4 months before I can leave and find someone to do so.

Anybody here ever shopped at AliExpress???

Oh yeah, I definitely agree. Way too many "deals" and other predatory practices that make it impossible to go in and buy a specific item. I was only using it as a comparison to what Aliexpress is like in terms of basic information.

Hacking Hardware Homebrew How to do PC-based CTRTransfer with just one 3DS?

I'm trying to replace the motherboard. The charging port on my current 3DS doesn't work anymore. I would solder a new one on, but there's some factors preventing me from doing that.

Hacking Hardware Homebrew How to do PC-based CTRTransfer with just one 3DS?

For some context, I am replacing the motherboard for my 2DS by ordering just the motherboard online. I do not have a spare 3Ds to do the system transfer with. From what I am seeing with the steps to perform a PC-based CTRTransfer, such as the sources here and here, I will need to have both...

What book are you reading right now? Or have read recently?

I have a few books I'm trying to work on. Right now it's Screenplay by Syd Field, In Memoriam by Alice Winn, and Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo. Last book I read was Blood Meridian, which I did enjoy a lot.

Anybody here ever shopped at AliExpress???

It's like any other 2nd hand, China-based shopping center - think Temu and ROMWE. Be careful of what you buy on there, and the quality of your products may vary. I think I used it in the past to order custom keychains.

I have been using this forum on and off for years to assist with my homebrewing process for various consoles, but never bothered to make an account until now. My main console is the 3DS - I own a purple New 2DS - but I have also dabbled in various homebrewing processes for other consoles as...
