Copy Swiss to a Gamecube Memory Card using a Wii?

No no, see: You're needing to put 2 saves on your MC, your Zelda save and that boot.gci from Swiss. Edit: Oh also, just glancing at my SD card, Swiss may need to be named autoexec.dol. Dunno why the guy that did that guide named his boot.dol, maybe there's some variety between exploits or...

Copy Swiss to a Gamecube Memory Card using a Wii?

Oof, the step by step video guide entirely skipped it. Dude probably already had it on his memory card and forgot

is there a way to install multiple wad files?

Neato I'm going to have to try that. I assumed it'd be possible, just nobody skilled had bothered setting up the tools to do so. Glad to be wrong

Copy Swiss to a Gamecube Memory Card using a Wii?

Click to like 5:20 for a guide Though it sounds like you want to place Swiss on your MC itself. AFAIK that's impossible. You're looking at placing a hacked save on your MC which on execution directs the system to load a boot.dol file sitting on your SD card, and we're choosing Swiss to be that...

Updated softmod, and retail games stopped reading

Yeah, considered that might be the case. Drives are old, it may just have failed, or a spider thought the lens looked like home. Thanks for taking a look though

My usbloader gx is displaying the games already on my wii and not the games I have on my drive.

Try opening the global settings on Usbloader GX, then hit Restore Defaults. Exit to the home menu and then pop open Usbloader GX again, should work, if your thumbdrive isn't dead?

is there a way to install multiple wad files?

Just hit + on your WAD manager to mark files for installation, should add a little green plus, then hit A to batch install. Or are you asking to install VC/Wiiware games directly to your SD Card, and skipping installing to your NAND? I don't think that's possible?

Updated softmod, and retail games stopped reading

I have a Wii that had some really old outdated mod stuff, so I overwrote basically everything. Seemed fine, till I noticed I noticed retail Wii games have stopped reading. Perhaps the old mod enabled DVD-Rs or something, and I overwrote something I shouldn't, or not enough, I dunno, just...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. Edit: It's fixed, all is well! The various issues I had with the chipped drive tossed in my US Wii are not present on the Japanese Wii. I did randomly see a decade old internet post somewhere suggesting chips had to be soldered up slightly differently for...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Neat, I've never read up on those exploits either. Nice to see a variety of access points, but in my case, no settings means no internet connection so those can't run. Anywho, opttiiiiooooonn fffoooouuuurrrrr! I installed a clean copy of ios 58 (using Wadmanger v1.0's awesome elf version) and...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Haha, I've got none! There are no Japanese Lego games to be had for free on the internet, as far as I can see. I tried that Yugioh game, and it needs elf files too. I tried poking at scrubbing Smash Bros, and even though I'm content with breaking the damn game, scrubbing it would take hours...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Neat, I didn't know the Mini could be hacked. But I think I'll try a LEGO game (certainly easier than rebuilding a Smash iso), because I have piles of 2GB SD cards and blank DVDs, and zero Linux PCs nor bluetooth adapters.

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Nice, I wouldn't have even thought to try Smash seeing as it's DVD9. And who has DL-DVDs laying around? But there must be a DVD5 rip for such a popular game. Edit: No, who cares how popular Smash is. Such a rip is 100% gone from the internet here in 2020. But I've got a better idea, I can can...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

I'm not even sure the old info that can be dug up is accurate, seeing as the chip doesn't seem to have regional compatibility. Or perhaps the chip is malfunctioning while on a higher firmwares. You directly replied to post where I said I couldn't run code yet. Sorry that resulted in a small...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Well, I can run Eri HaKawai! But it doesn't run .dol files renamed as .elf files, it just runs elf formatted executables. Hackmii doesn't go anywhere, because lord knows what's on there, lol. I can't find SysCheckHDE formatted as an elf. But I've got a olllld wad manager that works! It's ok...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

That sounds like a reasonable way to dig yourself out of a semi-brick. I just need to find some way to run code on the system first. I'm currently just trying to run random exploits in hopes of stumbling upon one that works.

Hardware Wii video problem with some USB sticks

I've got a 2GB stick right here with a bunch of old stuff backed up on it, and there's smaller too. But sticks of these sizes are old. He probably meant 32GB. Anyways, what jeannotte said is best. HDD's are the most reliable, and if you think a Wii isn't providing enough power you can get HDD's...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Nah, the batteries aren't dead. I had a friend walk through when I had both of the Wii's apart and he borrowed a used cr2032 off me. So I checked both of them with a multimeter and tossed him the best one. And then I slapped a mostly dead one into the Japanese system just to fill the hole, and...

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?

Alrighty, I did some things with with this chipped drive. Firstly I opened it up and took some pictures: Colors? Who needs colors when you have 29(?) wires going to random tiny points?! Ain't no way I'm going to touch that tape, I don't care that I can't see everything. I'd rather not...

Firmware PlayStation 3 updated to official firmware version 4.87

I kinda think the decryption keys have an expiry date too. I left my CFW system on the same FW for years because I was too lazy to update stuff, and one random day a year or 2 ago it just stopped playing Blurays. Including discs I own that I know it played before. Rolled the system up some...
