Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

You can also use GodMode9 to move and delete files. Thats how I troubleshoot when I’m not at my PC. But my understanding is if the widescreen hack is working correctly, you shouldn’t have to regenerate the .cxi file more than the first time. The TwlBg.cxi file shouldn’t be in the...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

I made some progress on my widescreen troubles. After updating Luma3ds, widescreen works great for most games now, including Mario 64 and Pokemon SoulSilver! Unsure if the update was related or if it was something else but I’m just happy it’s working. For some reason though whenever I launch...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Okay I guessed so. I set everything up, and it still did not seem to work. Then, instead of moving the twlBg.cxi file to sd/_nds/TWiLightMenu/TwlBg/, I copied it, so the original was still in sd/luma/sysmodules/. Then when I launched TwiLight Menu++ it was stretched again, so I assume I...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Okay I did this and the stretching is gone. I also regenerated the Widescreen.cxi file and placed it in sd/_nds/TWiLightMenu/TwlBg/ Now when I launch my game though, it doesn't go widescreen. I have the widescreen setting turned on in TWLMenu++ settings. That makes me wonder, is this supposed...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Will do! I’ll update when I try this. The blocky appearance isn’t a problem, I get that! I understand there are limitations. My understanding was that the widescreen patch allowed the game to display a little more on the left and right, rather than just stretch the original image.

Yes it looks like it is. How can I fix that?

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

I just installed Twilight Menu++ to play my DS games in widescreen, so I followed the steps in this thread. Now when I play DS games, they’re just stretched across the screen. I thought it compressed them before stretching them to make them look better. I’m playing Pokémon White 2 (USA) which...
