    The flashing is not the problem. The problem is that the tutorial does not explain anything about the USB. It just states "next step - insert the USB". At no point does it explain what files go in there, how to set it up, etc.

    I think you need to watch the tutorial before commenting. It has nothing to do with flashing an ESP. The new Hack requires an additional USB Stick, which you format with an image. You use an ESP and the USB Stick to initiate the hack. This is not explained well.

    I've spoken to several people who are well-informed and so far it seems that nobody is certain. That's why I'd love to have ToDex added to be on the safe side in case it's ever needed in the future. I use the ESP8266 exclusively to inject payloads, so this would really make my life easy.

    You can totally do it and it's not hard if you follow a disassembly tutorial on youtube. Just don't be a smartass like me and let your confidence get the best of you. I have disassembled lots of consoles and PCs and assumed that it would be easy for me, so I skipped the video watching part...

    Opening it and changing the thermal paste with a good quality one helps a lot. auto Not really, but if you are an idiot like me and just open the PS4 without looking up a video, you might tear the PSU cable like I did and then the repair got a bit more complicated...
