Hardware Components used on the Switch (mostly the motherboard and main console)

hey, I get them from here :) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000299502677.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000013.1.4a612fb4i0nD7M&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.146401.0&scm_id=1007.13339.146401.0&scm-url=1007.13339.146401.0&pvid=2900487b-405a-4358-9e0d-c7d1779b48b8

Hardware No video output from switch

I just replied to this other thread, maybe useful :) https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-with-no-display-on-tv.552653/

Hardware Switch with no display on TV?

If no image on HDMI docking - Check 3v is getting to the PI3USB. I would also check if the dock LED go green and the TV attempts to find a signal Check around the passives around PI3USB. In particular the ferrite filters. These are quote weak!! check impedance & continuity is uniform with all...

Hardware nintendo switch fan dont work

Hardware Vconn input to M92T36 Explanation

hmm it seems VCONN has something to do with the charging voltage I found the following references in similar chip applications: VCONN Voltage - Measured on CC2 signal (pin B5) of the USB Type-C receptacle. Note - you may need to flip the USB PD analyzer over if VCONN ends up on the CC1 signal...

Hardware Nintendo Switch - SD card part ripped off

they are quite easy to solder with a micropencil, flux and microscope but not everybody has one, also after soldering, the application of conformal coating or epoxi would be advisable to avoid anything moving away :) that is what I would do, 1 by 1, keep the board warm, low melt solder, and...

Hardware Supposedly broken Power Button is more now? Switch just died

it appears you may have the 3v pin shorted to ground of the power button or that the game card daughterboard lego connector was not plugged in properly (I have suffered from switches that appear dead just because that connector is not in properly) also the same with the SD card board may happen...

Hardware Switch boots fine but freezes on a WHITE SCREEN when trying to load a game

any game? have you tried a digital game as well as a game from a game card? also, does it do the same when is under stress? perhaps check other apps? - it could be the game card daughter board if is only from game cards or it could be overheating issue if it happens under stress. does it ever...

Hardware Problem with the charge and dock!

the only component I can think of would be the pads of the charging port. I would check on both sides, if 5v does gets through the main VBUS and I believe CC1 and CC2 pings are the ones that detect the plug so I would check if those pads have continuity into the board and together.

Hardware Un-Identified Capacitor. Need to Replace. Anyone know it's values?

short answer.. nope.. here you can find some info and values we collectively add but is not official https://gbatemp.net/threads/components-used-on-the-switch-mostly-the-motherboard-and-main-console.525026/ if anybody finds out the schematics.. let me know LOL

Hardware Un-Identified Capacitor. Need to Replace. Anyone know it's values?

yes, is a resistor not a cap but also requires a cap which I guess is the beige one next to the black smd component.

Hardware Un-Identified Capacitor. Need to Replace. Anyone know it's values?

by the way that resistor and the capacitors nearby are connected to pin 15 (AVDD) which is Analog power on the 1.8v power rail here is the power control for this chip it seems AVD D requires 0.1uf capacitor together with a 10uf one connected to that resistor

Hardware Components used on the Switch (mostly the motherboard and main console)

I just checked on a HAC-CPU-20 and is not ground the little chip looks like a tiny mosfet but that seems related to the Backlight not to the joycon connector and it has 5v when the backlight is on otherwise it has 0.02v on the top right 2 pins, is a little mosfet you can see the source drain and...

Hardware Repair Log thread for motherboard and Joycon PCB repair logs

you have a shorted Tegra chip, probably the board has flexed at some point and some solder joints are cracked. one of my switches had the same and after a reflow I found a shorted rail where the MAX chip near the left speaker connector, and I ended up taking the Tegra chip off .. short was gone...

    Hardware How to check PCB

I get to RCM mode by unpluging the NAND EMMC module, then press the power and plug it back in LOL also I leave you a little gift attached :)

Hardware What is the role of M92T36 in the Switch Docking process?

Simple question.. how does M92T36 influences the docking sensing/powering/signalling/etc(ing lol) open for debate, post whatever testing you've done so far and share your questions regarding relationship with M92T36 with PI3USB and the USB charger :)

Hardware Repair Log thread for motherboard and Joycon PCB repair logs

they are the worse ones.. most probably the NAND, MEMORY or the TEGRA chips are either damaged or corrupted. so far.. I have NOT been able to recover any blue screens or stuck in logo consoles :( they are good donors tho ! LOL - normally all the other chips are good to pull

Hardware Components used on the Switch (mostly the motherboard and main console)

maybe the case but I used a sucking cup and the chip was dancing before puling up.. and looking with the microscope before removing it showed that corner with some messy stuff stuck between the balls.. I think it was the pad mixed with prior attempts of flux and some fluff.. the pads around with...
