    Before WFC servers were shut down, was online play possible with flashcarts? Could Nintendo detect them using a system similar to the headers found in 3ds games?

    But when hosting download play, couldn't the activity log go crazy and display the game actually being hosted? Causing the use of a flashcart to be noticeable. I'm probably completely wrong though. Thanks!

    Thanks for your answer! My nintendo account has never been linked to my NNID. Would that make my switch safe? Because as I said earlier, I've called nintendo in regards to both the devices from the same number.

    When not using download play, the flashcart shows up as a ds game (in this case touch bomberman), but if you host download play with a different game stored in the flashcart (say nsmb), couldn't the activity log or something go crazy and notify nintendo?
