Homebrew Discussion Post homebrew ideas, suggestions, requests here

I just learned that the Joycons *can* actually be put into a deep sleep "shipping mode", that is only activated from factory and never again. Would it be possible for a homebrew app to activate this on the controllers (also Pro?) for transport so that they won't constantly search for the Switch...

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

Thanks, solved it thanks to you =). In the playlist file, it tried to use the N64 emulator for GBA games. It did this both for games I had never played before (so they didn't have a core associated yet) and after I had done "reset core association". However, that was in 1.7.6. I later updated...

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

Trying to start GBA games using mGBA crashes* when starting the game from the playlist. Other consoles work. Starting the same games from the history list works fine. What should I do? * "The software was closed because an error occurred" and I need to re-enter homebrew. Once I got a BSOD, but...

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

Yes. Goldleaf/-tree always found each other, but for some reason using the other USB port on the computer corrupted everything I tried to install.

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

Guys, you know what, I solved it! This has to be the stupidest solution to a problem ever, but I tried another USB port for connecting Goldleaf to Goldtree. Everything sent through this port works, everything sent through the other port doesn't. Anyone even heard of such a thing? Both ports work...

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

Same problem, can't launch anything from the games grid. I assume I was supposed to install it with Goldleaf. Just a regular system update. exFAT "works" just the same as FAT32, so I assume my friend installed that update at some point.

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

I got this banned Switch from a friend. It was at 7.x something. I asked if it can be updated, he said "I don't know, try". I googled, it seemed safe, and updated. Only then did I begin using it, and this is my first Switch (yeah, I'm a couple years late to the party). auto sdsetup doesn't...

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

I've redone the sigpatches so many times from many different sources. Both overlapping (some have files missing in others) and just individually. That was my primary source I tried first and the most.

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

The old SD has since been formatted, because it also stopped working. I assumed it was because of the 8.0.1 update, and just re-did everything on that card as well just to make sure the new card isn't faulty (this was before I tried to install internally). auto I'm installing the exact same...

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

Yes and yes. I've tried to delete every trace of the game (save files, tickets) and re-installed it fresh. I even factory reset the Switch (had nothing important on it anyway, save files are backed up) to really make sure it's a fresh install.

Hacking Suddenly no games work, corrupt data.

Everything worked on 8.0.0. Then I got a new SD card and re-did everything from sdsetup just to get the newest versions of everything and re-installed my games. I use Kosmos/Atmosphere, latest sigpatches, games are installed with Goldleaf/USB. After this, For every game I get the "Could not...
