    About that... Basically Nintendo came to them when they were making the Switch 2 and Fromsoft more or less decided to work on the game for S2. It's essentially a Bayonetta 3 (and 2 to a degree on top of the factors it had) scenario where Nintendo effectively has partial control over the game...
