yeah, understood. i had purchased two spare readers because i thought the hardware was compromised. when it turned out it was not, i replaced the og card readers and booted with nogc = 0. so those readers i had purchased have never been booted on a 9.0 firmware. i was wondering if they were able...

Hacking going from atmosphere 0.8.4 to 0.8.6

everything being said makes sense and works as intended in retrospect. i think having a low battery added some confusion or maybe hekate was just kicking back to rcm, dunno. in the end everything is working properly and will stick to fusee primary. got a little concerned there as i didnt feel...

Hacking going from atmosphere 0.8.4 to 0.8.6

There is no hekate ini and no cfw entries under launch. Fusee primary works I suppose that will do for now. Why does sdcard build not include a proper ini?

Hacking going from atmosphere 0.8.4 to 0.8.6

i removed traces of atmosphere and did a kosmos sd card build. now after pushing hekate payload, hekate screen is there for like 10 seconds then just disappears back to rcm, without any input. i have no idea what is going on or how this is even possible. edit: battery dead

was able to get wifi but not 90dns protected. hoping for the best. thanks for your help! edit: yep the update from recovery menu did the trick no restoring of old nand backup necessary. hope the console is not banned now as fw was showing as "6.2.0 (ams 0.8.5)" now back to trying to make usb...

Hacking what are my options, 7.0.1 to 6.2 failed downgrade

yes, can get recovery menu if holding vol up+down when booting to fw from hekate. i have an old nand backup would not a simple restore be sufficient? i was hoping to maintain the data put onto nand since that backup was made. but willing to accept what i can get at this point and that is better...

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
