Evercade CFW and adding ROMS without EverSD?

Do you see "Super Pocket Download Mode" in Device manager with it connected in flash mode? I would only bother testing with the bootloader you found marked as being specifically for the Super Pocket. Don't use the GUI "RKDevTool" you need "rkdeveloptool.exe"...

Evercade CFW and adding ROMS without EverSD?

I'm not sure macOS & Linux need a driver, but Windows requires you load the official SuperPocket Updater driver.

Evercade CFW and adding ROMS without EverSD?

Are you using Windows? Sounds to me like you are but don't have the correct driver installed.

Evercade CFW and adding ROMS without EverSD?

You need to start with rkdeveloptool db {your_bootloader} and then after that you can test with rkdeveloptool ppt to get a partition list with the starting LBA for each partition. if loading the bootloader hangs, you don't have the right bootloader. It should take about 1-2 seconds to load the...

Evercade CFW and adding ROMS without EverSD?

Here is the help info from the Windows version of rkdeveloptool. the commands should be identical regardless of your PC OS. Everything aside from WRITING and ERASING would be 100% non-destructive/safe to experiment with.

Have an original playstation (rca cable and multi-av) and want to go HDMI.

the only decent cheap one in the USA rn is $30 - so if the RetroScaler 2x is only $10 more that should be the cheapest play chosen by most people IMO.

Have an original playstation (rca cable and multi-av) and want to go HDMI.

Based on OPs post, it seems the goal is an easy solution for a large flatscreen TV that doesn't involve any cutting/irreversible modding because it is a sought after model due to the audio.

Have an original playstation (rca cable and multi-av) and want to go HDMI.

This is what I use on one of my PS1s: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MYVF61Y IMO is is much better than the POUND version which I used to have. It also works on PS2 and supports RGB mode there. In another I installed a PS1 Digital, which is not cheap in comparison and requires fine pitch...

Looking for a place that plays random retro music like radio station

Not quite what you are likely looking for but here you go anyway: https://chiptune.app/ I would suggest either signing up to curate a favorites list or setting it on random, or both. You also may find some luck with one of the "TuneIn" streaming radio's Video Game music channels. Here's a...

Feedback Hardware Making an Archon C64 handheld

The "quick & dirty" solution would be to get an R36s or other cheap 4:3 emulation device and add the ROM to it. By default in most c64 retroarch configurations pressing the SELECT button on the controller brings up a virtual keyboard which will work for the key presses you need. You CAN remap...

    Who's getting a summercart 64?

The resistor fix is for the latest x7 flashcarts that are already out in the wild and don't yet have the newest bootloader/firmware for the Analogue 3D. It's only meant for the x7 and only meant for those who don't have a real N64 to use for applying the update. We were discussing the many...

    Who's getting a summercart 64?

Just FYI - According to Krikzz the v2/v3 ED64 carts will work in the 3D if you're using the latest menu software (v2.13) and your 3D is up to date.

    Who's getting a summercart 64?

That's the "8bitdo 64" controller made with the Analogue 3D in mind. It's the only controller fully supported currently on the Analogue 3D that doesn't use the original N64 controller ports.

Any recommended (but cheap) retro handhelds?

I would have recommended the R36S and told you to load this custom Firmware on a new/quality SD card: https://github.com/AeolusUX/ArkOS-R3XS You will have no deal-breaking issues with PS1 and can even have fun with some higher end stuff in moderation like Dreamcast for example. It also will...

    Who's getting a summercart 64?

I don't know that you can actually do that. I suggested someone who wanted actual gameshark functionality to try loading gameshark cart + game cart, but that functionality to do that was designed for game cart + 64DD Disk - so it may not even let you pick two carts together, or if it does, it...

    Who's getting a summercart 64?

Summercart64 allows chain-loading a N64 cart and a 64DD disk together, not sure if it's supported with "cart+cart" but have you tried chain-loading the N64 Gameshark ROM and the game you want to play?

R36S - Does anyone know how to get Killer Instinct to run on MAME?

There is no "standard tolerance" per se. What you are experiencing is related to the fact that not all chipsets/boards get updates in every version of MAME. If a specific game's required drivers/code have seen no changes between versions of MAME, then the ROM is identical in that newer version...

Evercade EverSD United update introduces unified patcher, new loader and support for more handhelds

I would say you're looking at it the wrong way. If you already are in the Evercade ecosystem, this is a way to get more out of your device without having to carry multiple devices around with you. Not everybody wants to have a bunch of devices. Some would rather stick with one they have/like...

    Best SNES and Genesis flashcart?

There's nothing wrong with a knockoff. I was just stating that the info I previously provided is moot and should be ignored since this isn't genuine and therefore couldn't have the same wiring issues. The PCB looks completely different, after all. As I said last time, I'm not providing a...
