So is it safe to use or is it extremely dangerous for your Switch? If there is a 90% chance it won't do any harm I'm willing to use it, any lower and I'll pass.
I was at my friend's house when I downloaded the file. My assumption is that the internet dropped as you suggested.

Exactly I went to the store to buy ingredients for cereal. I then come back and swear I bought the milk but didn't I then come here to ask my wife (You all metaphorically)...

So funny hahaha. Look I asked a question! I tried extracting it normally but the download was corrupt. I'm not an idiot. I could've done this all myself had the download been functional and complete.

I just don't have the tools to take apart my joycon or the knowledge to short the pins. Is there a YouTube tutorial on it, and could I pick up a triwing screw driver from a hardware store?
[EDIT] IT'S A RIGHT JOYCON I MISTYPED IN THE TITLE SORRY!
If I bent back pins 2-9 or broke them off would it be possible for me to use the joycon itself as a jig? Also if anyone is familiar with the hardware is there a plausible way that doesn't involve me opening up the controller?
Any help...
