Emulation Homebrew Emulator [UNOFFICIAL] Some Libretro cores compiled with RetroArch Wii v1.7.9 (and other versions)

Do these cores also work for GameCube? Or are those (entirely) different?

Homebrew RetroArch on Wii - Most MAME ROMs aren't working?

Kudos for Beerbarian's lists! I plan on fiddling with GameCube FBA, so maybe I can add some more/new info to the list. I guess for the MAME list this one is more recent: https://gbatemp.net/threads/mame2003-compatibility-list.551556/ (but unfortunately not a google doc yet). Or is there an other...

    Homebrew RetroArch-Hexaeco Emulators

On Archive.org I see v0.2.97.24, is that (also) a good pick? Else it's getting in the FBA 2016 romsets (.39 and higher).

Emulation Homebrew Emulator [UNOFFICIAL] Some Libretro cores compiled with RetroArch Wii v1.7.9 (and other versions)

Cool! Ah, so these cores only work with the unmodded retrolib versions, and not RA-Hexaeco?

Homebrew Emulator Archive of old versions of RetroArch Wii (RA-Wii)

Shouldn't https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1aqh6plc1cifd/RA-HEXAECO_SuperrSonic_archives/ also be added here in the opening post? :) (came across it at https://gbatemp.net/threads/older-ra-hexaeco-builds.617726/#post-9918058 yesterday, but couldn't find it back today ugh! XD )

Homebrew RETROARCH WII - Setting it up Mini Tutorial.

Tx, but Google Translate is making a mess of this. Is there an English summary somewhere? Or it's basically https://www.gamebrew.org/wiki/RA-Hexaeco_Wii ? @JuanMena shouldn't you/we also mention the alternative Wii RetroArch's in the opening post? (@SuperrSonic's RA-HEXAECO, @rogerioronin...

Homebrew RETROARCH WII - Setting it up Mini Tutorial.

I'm still drowning a bit in all the information (this is all new to me). My wishes are to play NES, SNES, ColecoVision, C64 and Arcade (FBA, MAME 2003-Plus). Ideally with all the Wiimote, Classic and GC controller options. So what I gather these seem to be the RetroArch options: - official...

    Homebrew Mame2003+ Compatibility list

This compatibility list is still only a mediafire zip? Not a Google Drive file or anything? Like @beerbarian's lists https://gbatemp.net/threads/retroarch-on-wii-most-mame-roms-arent-working.418618/#post-7268799...?

Retro arch / FBA 2012 compatibility list

What about Nintendo VS. System, PlayChoice-10 and Sega Mega Play games @SaulFabre @JuanMena ? (eg. Battle City, Rescue Rangers, Golden Axe II)

Homebrew RETROARCH WII - Setting it up Mini Tutorial.

Here, , it's mentioned RetroArch for Wii already gave issues after 1.7.6. Is that outdated info, or still holds truth as well? Is this @SaulFabre's core https://gbatemp.net/threads/mame-wii-1-0-recompilation-with-newer-wiimote-support-wiiflow-support-via-arguments-for-autolaunch-games.630959/ ?

Is this still the current status concerning Wii Retroarch?

Homebrew Emulator MAME Wii 1.0 recompilation with newer Wiimote support + WiiFlow support via arguments for autolaunch games

Can these lists be shared (and updated) via Google Drive? Do the Namco Classic Collections (v.1, v.2) work with this emulator?

Hacking So I am about to solder in my wiikey...

I haven't played backups in ages, since I got everything of interest original. I could remove it, but it's already there, so might as well keep it then (it's also a quick way to play import games). Wii seems to work fine with the two WiiKey loose wires. But it's in my spare parts Wii now, so...

Hacking So I am about to solder in my wiikey...

Well, some progress. Did a drive swap to my old Wii, which is reading DL discs fine now. Put the dvd drive of the old Wii (where I put the original laser back in, since the new replacement one didn't work) in the backup/spare-parts Wii after I fiddled with the pot, and now it reads DL discs too...

Hacking So I am about to solder in my wiikey...

It's not a WiiKey 2 though, it's the 1st version. Is there a general consensus in the community that it's beautiful? haha It's hard to find documentation for the 1st version nowadays it seems. All the links are dead, and the diagrams I do see are so different, I gather that's the v2 version...

Hacking So I am about to solder in my wiikey...

Was that a case of the iron being too hot? You think the Wii will still function properly like this? EDIT: There seem to be lines going to the pins of the chip. Still, it's all very microscopic (to me ;) ) and the two lines are very close to eachother. Not seeing myself successfully go...

Hacking So I am about to solder in my wiikey...

Darn! Did I desolder it, or did it get pulled off/out with the wire? Can it do harm to keep it there with the two loose wires?

Hacking So I am about to solder in my wiikey...

Google got me here ^^; I was trying to replace my Wii laser, but in the process some wires from the wiikey got detached (didn't do the install myself). I'm trying to resolder it, but it doesn't stick at all. I fluxed it, but it's just a black hole on the pcb now so to speak, and the wire and...

Blah. 3 of my NSO + Expansion Pass family group members are leaving. Found one replacement so far but still need to fill two empty slots. I have 9 days or i eat the extra cost myself. But with a full group $11 for a year is a good deal. imo
