Super Mario RPG has leaked online

Gameplay is often choppy running around the first town. I was a little surprised. I often wonder if they leak on purpose for more feedback and testing before actual release

    Nintendo Switch firmware 16.0.3 released

It's fine to update. It was just my first time updating atmosphere so I had a learning curve. Just use your normal update method or use AIO. Or don't! The totk 1.1.0 update worked fine for me on the previous version

    Nintendo Switch firmware 16.0.3 released

Yeah, I basically have a couple of commands that (usually) work that equate to a shell script (rsync, chflags -R [arch|noarch], etc). I'm on MacOS/Linux and have a lot of command line shell experience and I dual boot Windows so it's a pain to switch. I probably should just run a Windows virtual...

    Nintendo Switch firmware 16.0.3 released

Well, I should have used AIO Switch Updater. I don't think I would have messed up the archive bits that way. I still had to put the firmware files on the sd card manually though

    Nintendo Switch firmware 16.0.3 released

Thanks for your help. The sigpatches you linked were the first I tried. I tried everything else too. I also tried recreating my atmosphere/ and bootloader/ folders, which didn't help. Atmosphere works fine. But I'm getting errors when trying to install titles with tinfoil or dbi, or play any...

    Nintendo Switch firmware 16.0.3 released

Definitely hold off. A couple of weeks ago I just finished converting mine from SXOS to ATMS 16.0.2 successfully. I thought I could update to 16.0.3 so I updated atmosphere, fusee.bin, hekate, sigpatches, then my games wouldn't load ("Unable to start software"). I tried downgrading atmosphere...

    Cloud Saves Question w/ homebrew

I'm in the same boat. I already paid for my copy. I want to see if it's better on the OLED. Framerate bogs down quite a bit here and there on Erista v1 Switch. I was going to try it on the Deck. BotW in CEMU runs great. I haven't tried any Switch emulation on it yet

    Cloud Saves Question w/ homebrew

You can probably import your saves from your Deck to your switch running CFW atmosphere easily enough. I think you'd have to take your CFW online to use the cloud save to have any hope of getting it to your OLED via Nintendo cloud saves. And I think anytime you start modifying saves on your OFW...

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been leaked almost 2 weeks from release

Hmm, I know what I'll be doing today.... driving to GameStop to purchase my reserve so I can get my wooden placard. haha

Migrate to Atmosphere with new sd card

Wow, I learned a lot tinkering with this. I think I'm starting to get it now, haha. The title of the OP probably should have been "How do I back up and restore working SXOS sd card to new sd card from scratch on Mac/Linux" or something. I know there are a bunch of Windows tools but I didn't see...

Migrate to Atmosphere with new sd card

Yes, I know the title of my thread seems redundant. Did you happen to read my post? If I mess up any steps, am I locked out of the console unless I have the dongle/jig? Can I or should I get my current set up working with a new SD card, then migrate to atmosphere? Thanks

Migrate to Atmosphere with new sd card

Hello! I'm hoping to be pointed in the right direction. I know this is probably been covered at length in many places but I'm having problems getting started. I bought a v1 switch with a sxos modchip several years ago, not sure what I have exactly, but I can hold Volume+ Power to start SXOS...

Beloved classic GoldenEye 007 lands on Switch and Xbox this week

I agree. It's terrible on a pi4. But it's not a high powered PC as you stated.

Beloved classic GoldenEye 007 lands on Switch and Xbox this week

Meh, I would have said the same thing not too long ago. I just mastered the game (with retro achievements basically twice because I didn't have hardcore mode enabled the first time) on the Steam Deck, docked, with Switch Pro controller, in native widescreen (which can be changed in the watch...

Epic is delisting and shutting down the servers for some of its older games

(Yeah, I know, "okay boomer", herdurr...) I will set up my own server(s) again if I have to keep UT2004 alive. In fact, if it weren't for the skills I learned setting up linux gaming servers I probably wouldn't have the career I have today. It's the series that brought us great community mods...

Epic is delisting and shutting down the servers for some of its older games

UT2004 is still amazing. UT3, meh. I was bummed to see fornite eclipse the UT franchise. I'm considering a UT2004 reunion with my old LAN buds. Man, I'm getting old.

'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' gets next gen update

hmmm, the update borked the game for me (on Steam Deck) EDIT: Got it working.... needed to select DirectX 11 from their terrible new launcher

Homebrew Super Mario World widescreen mod available now

Because SMW is the BEST Mario game ever, I decided to try this out. It's amazing, but you're right. In the first castle right before you fight Iggy you have dodge mallets from the ceiling, with widescreen there is extra space for Mario to run to making the mallets a non-issue. I'm sure there are...
