You wonderful person. This was one of 2 games (the other being Mischief Makers) which run poorly under Mupen, that I really wanted to play on switch. But I also didn't want to nag for specific games.
I'm curious if some N64 games will have commonalities in these modifier packs to run under the Nintendo emu. Like games with a similar engine or similar developer like games made by Rare
Thanks for the fast reply. I added an edit to the previous post, it was caused by weird button bindings from steam for desktop stuff. Changed it to act like a normal controller which lost the left and right mouse clicks but stopped all of the above annoying quirks.
All seems well now :)
EDIT: Turns out this is because Steam was running beforehand and it's defaulted to a weird setup in desktop mode. A heads up to all check how your steam controls are set if it takes over like this

I've been using Switch games to learn Japanese, and I'm forever having to reboot to switch languages instead of just being able to set them per-game. Some games let you do it, most don't.

Why? Common sense says the X will be a 4k focused console (or 1800p or whatever), and the S will offer essentially the same quality but at 1080p etc. The gameplay itself doesn't necessarily need to change.

My expectations for this are incredibly low. If it turns out to be good, it'll be a surprise.
