ROM Hack Discussion Fire Emblem: Three Houses General Hacking

I do not seem to understand the needed key combination for this one: [Highlight - Z Health X+-> to 0] X and - didn't work while the character is highlighted, and I don't know what the > sign is supposed to mean. Am I doing it wrong? Thanks in advance

ROM Hack Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Cheat Codes

Thanks for the great work! Those cheats are the best! However, now the game is updated to v1.2.0 and these don't work anymore. If possible, are they going to be updated to the latest version? Thanks in advance

Homebrew Question devkitPro/Msys2 - Compilation problem

Just started from scratch and tried again for the third time, it keeps asking me to export even after installing as appears in the screenshot, throwing this error every time: "Makefile:6: *** "Please set DEVKITPRO in your environment. export DEVKITPRO=<path to>/devkitpro". Stop." It's like the...

Homebrew Question devkitPro/Msys2 - Compilation problem

Well, that's great! Everything works well up to this point! Many thanks Now, I'm just trying to compile a project (EdiZon) into an nro file using the "make" command, but I get this error: Makefile:10: c:/devkitpro/libnx/switch_rules: No such file or directory make: *** No rule to make target...

Homebrew Question devkitPro/Msys2 - Compilation problem

Didn't install (dunno is that's possible), just used: "export DEVKITPRO=<path to>/devkitpro" in the shell, which is Ubuntu's.

Homebrew Question devkitPro/Msys2 - Compilation problem

I tried all these cases, none worked. There are suggestions for using other tools like Arch and WSL. The syntax is slightly different, so I'd appreciate a translation for the mentioned commands from anyone familiar.

Homebrew Question devkitPro/Msys2 - Compilation problem

Upon trying, I found that the syntax is a bit different so I couldn't translate "pacman -S switch-dev" to something it understands. The web says it's "sudo (dkp-)pacman -S switch-dev" but I get this error: "-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `dkp-' " Can you help me with the syntax or...

Tutorial How to setup Devkitpro to develop Nintendo Switch homebrew

The newly released libnx seemingly has screwed the compilation up. If it's not just me, is there a workaround?

Homebrew Question devkitPro/Msys2 - Compilation problem

Greetings, After almost a week of struggling while trying to troubleshoot devkitPro, I have reached a dead-end. Its support is basically non-existent. Basically, I have installed it with all its packages that I found on its GitHub, but when I try to run the "make" command in Msys2 for any...

Homebrew RELEASE AmiiSwap - Amiibo switcher/manager for Emuiibo

No worries, I get where you're coming from. Regarding the issue, I've followed up on the Discord's support page and it seems that there's nothing to do right now to get it to works other than waiting for an update to fix it. To answer your question, yes I tried all the scenarios including...

Homebrew RELEASE AmiiSwap - Amiibo switcher/manager for Emuiibo

First of all, thanks for the great project! Unfortunately, I can't seem to enjoy its bloom yet, here is what I've done: 1- Extracted emuiibo v0.3 and Amiiswap v1.0 to the SD card 2- Generated the virtual Amiibo's JSON files using emuGUIibo (the desktop app) without random UUID and placed their...

    Hacking Firmware status

This thread is out-of-date. I can tell you that 8.0.1 is supported by Atmosphere and SX OS, I know nothing about the rest.

Hacking Question Difference between playing games on OFW and CFW

I don't think I'll go that far, but thanks for the suggestion (y) That's my best bet right now, I just wanted to make it one less step. Not too bad as it is anyway so I'm sticking. Modifying files on PC, repair in case of errors, use it as a flash drive for other purposes, etc. It'll be...

Hacking Question Difference between playing games on OFW and CFW

Didn't know about the permissions, I guess this settles it. I just wanted to avoid having to go through RCM and inject Heckate after every power off of the Switch, needed mainly to remove the SD card.

Hacking Question Difference between playing games on OFW and CFW

Hi all, I was wondering whether I do have to boot into CFW all the time to play installed games given that I'm connected to Wi-Fi with this DNS defined to not connect to Nintendo's servers: Primary 163.172.141.219 Secondary 45.248.48.62 Since I'm kinda offline, are there any negatives to...

    Hacking Firmware status

OS SX doesn't support FW v8+ yet and its team is silent on an ETA. Last time it took them around a month to catch up. You may want to update the table to avoid the confusion.
