Nice! How are you liking it so far? I don’t know much about GNU/Linux either. I would start by plugging it into a PC and seeing if Windows recognizes it as any sort of device. From there, maybe someone here can give you some advice on how to further dig into it.
Looks like someone found a way to add more ROMs to the Genesis Flashback here:

It’s a long and involved manual process. With that discovery though, is there any chance (let alone any interest) we can see Hakchi in the near...
I did. The embargo for the revised units was lifted today. The emulation doesn’t seem too bad at all.

The novelty of it appeals to me. I wouldn’t mind having one of these sitting next to my SNES and NES Classic. Too bad they couldn’t shrink it a bit further to have it more in scale with...
I apologize in advance if I’m posting this in the wrong area, but would it be possible and likely that Hakchi will be expanded to work with the upcoming Genesis Flashback as well? Per this video at about 36:18, they dissassemble the system and find that there’s a USB port on the board. The...
Do those mods include the bilinear filtering (remove scanline option) you made a video about earlier? Do they have to be installed separately into hakchi? I’m still running 2.20 and have been hesitant to install 2.21 because of the issues and upload error messages that some people were having...
Have you tried flashing with 2.20 again after loading the original kernel? I’m going to assume yes and, it still didn’t work.
I saw a post on reddit somewhat similar to your issue. To fix it, the guy paid attention to the red/green light in the lower left corner of hakchi as it’s flashing your...
While I don’t know about the other games, you should load the Japanese version of Super Double Dragon instead if you can. (Return of Double Dragon) several tweaks were made since the US release and it’s altogether a better game for it.
Wow, thanks for the quick reply! My old man eyes can’t see the difference between that the standard 4:3 on my small phone. Does the bilinear filtering smooth out the graphics a bit?
I’ll definitely give it a go once I get home!
Nice update! So in the previous release, a copy of the original games was made in the part of the storage that the saves and additional games are kept? Is that how the SNES was set up from the factory? Or was it originally set up to work like how v2.21b handles it? (Linking them instead of...
Ah okay. Is there an exact number to this or do you just have to fiddle around with it? I'm thinking of having the original games in root with everything else in folders split equally. Or maybe just have everything in folders (30 games max)?
What's the limit of games that can be added to the SNES before you have to worry about save states and errors and whatnot? I remember in the early days of the NES that was an issue. Not sure if that's changed over time. Thanks in advance!
I dumped my SNES kernel using 2.20 and the system won't shut off. I switched the power off after dumping the kernel and doing nothing else, but the red light is still on. Anyone else run into this issue?
Why would people want to pay $200 something that’s supposed to be more readily available this time around for $80? Let alone $200 for a used system with carelessly installed games that don’t work properly.

I haven’t used it yet, but if it’s like other emulators, it might have filters...
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
