I'm definitely missing something with the vita.hack/finalhe step. It doesn't seem to be doing the actual update part. Anyway, I gotit working with QCMA. My issue yesterday was I hadn't the right region in the XML file. Found the last few pieces of the puzzle in this guys video/pastebin links...
I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the initial step of upgrading from 3.61 to 3.65. I'm following the vita.guide website and using finalhe to upgrade. All seems to be working fine until I get to the step of running h-encode from the Vita. It launches, displays a warning about trophies...
Cheers. Have been looking at that alright. Looks straightforward enough. Is there generally issues with upgrading hacked vitas? Is there a bigger risk of bricking or anything I need to watch out for?
Cheers for that. I'll look into upgrading. Is there anything I'd need to watch out for if I'm upgrading from one hacked firmware to another? Can I just follow the normal guides as if it's stock?
One small thing. It's definitely running vita games. Not sure what CFW it's got going for itself, but...
Hi guys,
I borrowed a friends PS Vita and need a bit of help figuring out what's going on with it. He says it's "fully hacked", but it's been a few years so he can't remember any of the details of what he did to it etc. It's working away without issue and he reckons he used to just add games...
Thanks @Cyan! I think I realised my mistake that caused the confusion yesterday. In my head I was equating the SD Card and NAND. I forgot that there was an installation step after I copied the files to the SD card.
I think I'm more clear on things now. I'll keep going as I am until I hit a...
Perfect. Thanks for clarifying
Nobody told me to. I didn't say they did. If the SD card mattered (see Q1), then this might have been an issue.
([edit] It's already backed up multiple places)
 The question structure is fine if somewhat conversational in tone. I shall endeavor to improve...
Hi guys,
Great tutorial. Thanks for compiling it OP.
I have a few quick question regarding storage if anyone can help. Setup is CBHC installed and I'm mainly interested in running N64 and Gamecube games on the gamepad (for context)
Can I swap the SD card I've been using for a different one...
@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
