Looks like my issue may have been a bad cap - I removed it and there is no short over both pads and the other tiny cap that was showing as shorted is ok now too.
Problem is I dont have a replacement and have to order some...
I've checked the USB port and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong. The cap doesn't appear to get hot either. I'm not sure it's the actual cap that's defective, I was thin king the BQ24193, but when I removed it nothing seems different.
OK basically I did a quick test for continuity across both pads of the cap and both were shorted to ground it seems. You're saying this is normal for this cap?
None of the other caps shows this result, only this one.

I had a short on a cap near BQ24193 and thought perhaps it was the chip - the short however is still present once I removed the chip. It is this cap:

I have a switch that wont turn on or charge. I identified a short shown below (outlined in red):
I removed the BQ24193R chip and unfortunately the short is still present. Anyone know the likely fix for this?
