Hacking Will Wii U work without the disc drive attached?
I tired doing this the other day. I left the main board for the dvd drive attached with the little board that had two wires soldered to it connected as well, the sensor that detects if a disc is inserted. I powered it on and it worked, played some games from USB flash drive and it was working...- dwray

No because the Wii U uses a file system only readable by the Wii U. The vWii will not be able to use it. auto After modding my vWii, I just put in my old Wii SD card and was surprised it loaded everything up and didnt have to do much after. Im getting this same error. How exactly did you fix it? Did you just swap sd cards and put just the boot.elf on it?- dwray
