Hacking Question Removing all trace of a NSP?

As stated in the OP I do that anyway. Just wanted to make sure there weren't any extraneous files/registers (like tickets and such, though obviously tickets are on console nand) that a nsp install places on the SD outside of the title itself when installing it to the SD.

Hacking Question Removing all trace of a NSP?

So simply deleting all files related to the title in goldleaf/lithium before the restore will clean everything out?

Hacking Question Removing all trace of a NSP?

Currently I've been restoring a clean backup before booting stock each time to avoid bans: create backup before I boot cfw -> mess around with HB completely offline (mainly retroarch) -> restore backup -> boot stock -> play legit games online -> repeat. Now i'm thinking about installing NSPs. Is...

Hacking Temporarily remove CFW for repair at Nintedo

I'm not saying he shouldn't do that as well. From his original post it seems like he was resigned to doing that anyway. I'm simply saying the only way to not have to go through and restore each individual game/savegame backup is if they send him his og system and he restores a system backup.

Hacking Temporarily remove CFW for repair at Nintedo

you can check through the serial number. Also yes, create a backup of your current set-up before removing everything to send for repair. Then provided they send you your system, you just install cfw all over again getting back to the versions of everything you had and restore the backup then...

Hacking Temporarily remove CFW for repair at Nintedo

Depends what they do, If they send you your original (repaired system) any nand backups you made in cfw can just be restored (once you get to the same cfw/os version set-up you made the backup with) with everything you had set-up on the homescreen/sd card still there. If it's a new system you'd...

Homebrew [Release] freeShop - open source eShop alternative

I seem to have messed up. I tried to get a game off of an older sd card i used for my current 3ds by copying over/replacing the Nintendo 3ds folder. I didn't backup. All my games are still in the folder due to the sheer size of it but none are showing up on the homescreen. Any way to get them to...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

I did it on a New 3ds XL (the new pokemon sun/moon one :) ). One thing to keep in mind is after you've soldered, those ribbon cables on the top right for the top screen are a bitch to plug back in. If your 3ds doesn't boot (blue light, bottom screen flashes, then it powers down) make sure those...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Not necessary, but it definitely helps. I did my entire solder job with no flux or mesh to clean up mistakes. Thankfully I didn't fuck anything up in the 3ds itself, i'm just having problems with the sdcard/comp recognizing nand as storage. I just ordered a 128gb micro-sd card so i'll use the...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Would not having all the pins present on the franken sd affect it? This is an old picture and i've since cleaned up the solder job. But I did cut out those two pins, and i lost the side lock (figured it would still read, then when it came time to write i could just solder a wire there...

My wires, total length, are about 6 inches. From frankensd to the solder points no wire is longer than 6in. The reader i'm using is the tuc-300

That triangle in the top left next to the trigger connection? I didn't want to solder there cause my solder gun is really big and i don't want to accidentally touch the connector. Is there any other gnd that's easy to solder to?

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Did the hardmod on a N3dsXL. Used a micro-b usb port following the pinout here (http://www.infinitydream.com/new-3ds-xl-install-a-micro-usb-connector-to-nand-n-164.html?newsPath=102). 3ds boots into bootrom perfectly fine (however only the bottom screen shows anything). It varies whether its...
