Are you modifying a code.bin or doing external code loading? If you're using LIPS you can stack ips patches on the same code.bin as long as they don't modify the same code sections.

Edit: JK I can't sleep so I did it right now. I put a Salty SD patched Sun code.bin into luma/titles/etc and it showed 1.5 and then I put a SciresM patched code.bin into the directory and it didn't load the patch. Let me know if...

Decompress .cxi with ctrtool
Patch Code.bin with LIPS
Replace the files in the dumped/decompressed ROMFS with the provided Garcs
Rebuild the romfs with PackHack(romfsbuilder)
Rename the romfs and code.bin appropriately

No, the PALSR fix that allows for Hans to run extended ram games on Hans was just released recently. Try redownloading the homebrew starter kit(for an updated version of Hans) and the new 2.8 payload/oltherapp.
I used a .cxi of my cart and was able to get HANS to work with ctrtool, and PackHack on hax*2.8. Happily checking out Rising Sun as we speak, thank you for your work. I look forward to your updates.
