Sorry but I tried to find an explicit anwser to this for about 2 hours. Can you still use the mods when being on the latest FW 5.5.3.? The gecko acces gate though the browser doesnt show up anymore (loadiine.ovh). Installed the Gecko homebrew version from the link of the last page of this thread...- krelo

So I just tested the Ability Gear Hack in this video and it worked so far (except for the head gear, which is a bit odd) After preparing Gecko on the internet browser and everything, I started Splatoon without the Lan Cable. Hm. I'll just use a second throwaway NNID with that gear hack. I will however start the game offline and put the Lan cable in for a second in the Plaza/gear menu to activate the hack, save it and turn off the wii u. I just used the money hack with PyGecko some days ago (saturday i think) and it all worked good; no ban or anything yet. So is using PyGecko instead of TpcGecko safe?
