It never worked for me either. Did you try downgrading to 10.5? Read this guy's post, apparently he was successful. https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-using-smashhax-with-linux.397194/page-12#post-6191844

    Tutorial Using "smashhax" with Linux

Oh that's good news! I really didn't think that it existed, good job finding it. Downgrading using smashhax is difficult however. I tried to do it for hours and gave up (ended up buying Ocarina of Time). Just keep trying, maybe you'll eventually get past the hax init... message. Apparently...

Should be fine. It won't delete your save without prompting you first.

    Tutorial Using "smashhax" with Linux

On 10.6 the cheapest way would be OoT ($20) and a Powersaves ($15). Unless you know someone else with a hombrewed 3DS, then you don't need the Powersaves. Otherwise you'd have to wait for Browserhax to get updated for 10.6, hopefully.

    Tutorial Using "smashhax" with Linux

Hey! Unfortunately the dev of smashhax never made a 1.0.1 jp pcap, so it's not supported. Not much you can do, sorry.

Homebrew Ninjihax error after downgrading to 9.2?

Use browserhax to install menuhax. You don't need ninjhax in 9.2. Follow these instructions (Part 1) : https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-%28Homebrew%29

    Tutorial Using "smashhax" with Linux

Have you done the following? http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ Download the starter kit and extract it at the root of your sd card. Also download the otherapp payload for 10.6.0-31U. Rename it smashpayload.bin and place it at the root of your sd card. Make sure that you're not confusing the...

    Tutorial Using "smashhax" with Linux

That's really something that should be made more clear in the guide I think. The pcaps were made for the eShop versions/update versions of the game (apart from 1.0.0, which doesn't have an eShop version).

That pcap works for the 1.0.1 digital version. I used it myself. If it doesn't work (sends you back to the home screen), then I'm pretty sure you're out of luck.

    Tutorial Using "smashhax" with Linux

Are you using the script from the main post? If so then adding it won't work I think. If you replace it with a preexisting pcap file, that should work though. So choose any of the preexisting pcaps, delete it, rename the new pcap to the same name, and put it in the folder. Select that one.

And you're also sure that it came with 1.0.0? That would imply that it install the update to the cartridge itself, which I don't think ever happens. auto Try this one. https://www.dropbox.com/s/syp1x1itbm1vxw2/sbh.pcap?dl=0

If it came with 1.0.0 deleting the update should go back to 1.0.0, I'm pretty sure. Are you sure that you deleted it?
