The difference here is that the thread is the hubpoint for David to usually give us news, when he comes here. Nowhere else for this specific fork of Reicast.
If you look at the previous posts instead of opening the thread and hitting the "Post" button, you'll see that there are no new replies...
Pipe down. The actual mods have asked before in this thread that people wait for news instead of repeat asking and end up offtopic, like we are.
Coincidentally, just as with your ability to ask, comes my ability to express frustration at people consistently asking when it's easy to check for an...
It also does not cost to check the thread for dev replies, if there are none, there are no news. Courtesy will only take you so far.
Now, let's not de-rail this any longer, you've made your point and I've made mine.
He meant in the SWITCH OS, before you start the emulator or Homebrew Menu at all, hold R and select a Nintendo title from the Horizon OS.
This will trigger the Homebrew menu with more RAM allocated to the Homebrew, instead of the limited one you get from the album method.
The definition of entitlement right there. "I can therefore I should" is not always the case.
In a hurry? Fork your own version of Reicast and work on it yourself.
But the Switch has many games running at 30fps and they don't stutter. It doesn't have to do with the Switch's screen, or it wouldn't happen while docked to a TV, it still happens. You can force 1080p30 and it will still stutter through hdmi.
It's more likely than not some interpolation issue...
Point is, the OG xbox ran on a 32bit chip, not Arm.
Think of it like a huge underpowered PC, but exclusive for games. That's why it was theorized long ago that it wouldn't actually take that long to emulate due to hardware but mostly due to encryptions.
I personally agree with all of the points you made, but the fact still stands though, this is a guy who has a life and has several branches of Reicast on which he works at the same time. Whether we want to admit or not, Android has a far larger userbase than the Switch and has been evidently...
He knows. Not trying to white knight in here but it seems every 5 other pages of the thread it gets lost in conversation that he's already acknowledged the issue and has been working on it.
It's called texture invalidation and has been mentioned numerous times so far.
Everybody relax. You...
So I've followed everything precisely and got into 9.2.0 rxTools etc, emunand and sysnand unlinked by formatting sysnand (can always restore back to it later I guess? since I did a nand backup)
Then I used system update to update the Emunand to 10.3, now I can't seem to boot at all and am stuck...
