Right now I'm using SMB123's injector pack to extract the model.nut to GTX and covert to .dds. It tells you the number of mipmaps and the format for reference. The one I've edited with was "2" which is DXT3 on his list. Also just ignore the "inject" directory; just a name for a folder xD
When you mean save as .dds in the right format do you mean like this? Saved as .png with paint.net and edited with Photoshop then back. Would this be right? Not sure if editing with Photoshop would put some sort of effect to hamper. Also would it provide the number of mip maps generated that is...
Got the NVIDIA texture plugin for opening .dds files in photoshop. My format was 2 which is DTX3 and had 4 mipmaps from the command prompt. When exporting, the original .dds texture was 2048x2048 but came out as 1024x2048 (chose DTX3 and Use existing mipmaps changed to 4). Any assistance?

I've owned both iPhone and Androids over the years. Both are just as good, other than Apples higher price. I'm currently on Android, Samsung S21 I think, and very happy with it.
