    In the latest vesion bb released it detects changes and recaches automatically... if you never change things i think in the settings file you can turn that part of the caching off. Header caching is one of those features you dont need until you do and then your happy its there.

    Its in one of the settings menus. My wii is not out atm or id tell you were, but look around and it should say header cache in it. I want to say its under one of the buttons on the first setting page.

    fat32/mbr is about the best you will get support for in wii homebrew apps... some may have some hacky ntfs or gpt support but its nothing i would trust to be stable.

    The builds blackbox maintains, they have advanced features that will make what you are trying to do easier. I would ditch ntfs also, but your call if you get it working the way you want.

    If your drive is greater than 2tb use fat32 with 64k blocksize, update to latest bb version of loader and make sure header cache option is on.     If you are going to buy storage why not a wd 1-5tb portable drive, it will be a better experience. Stay 2tb or less if you want uneek to work on it.

    WBFS is a file system and a format... you want to use the WBFS format on a fat32 filesystem.

    I had a similar issue when i updated but it ended up being a usb drive failing and corrupting itself. Cached banners we're fast until it had to actually read from the drive to create a new cached banner at that point everything would just hang for me. I have a huge number of games and use banner...

    You dont have to verify your game but if you want to rule the game out as an issue you should. You could also dump it again if you trust your usb disk.
