    The amount of time the process takes is directly linked to how corrupted the game is, not its size. If it hasn't moved from this spot for 8 days, it's probably too far gone, unfortunately. Do try skipping that block (hold Y) and see if other blocks are OK.

    Yeah, the little backlight and 3D adjustment flex cables aren't long enough to position the screen in the center. Could try to extend those with little wires, but this was already fiddly enough tbh :v

    Well, you can get a tiny drill and remove the screws that way. If they're not fully stripped, a well-sized flat blade screwdriver can also work better than a philips one. But before you commit to doing that, try the special Luma build to confirm this is the problem?

    It would be nice if it ran some kind of rudimentary RAM check on the portion of RAM it's going to use for loading the firm and reported failure with a different light. Not sure how realistic that is to implement though.

    Yeah - the thing I was confused about was the fact that boot9strap was clearly running (the status lights were shown), so I thought the NAND wasn't involved. Makes sense now with RAM being the culprit.

    I have a n3DSXL which crashes when bumped. Sometimes, the 3DS doesn't boot - it shows a purple light without an SD card, and a red light with the SD card in (even if the luma firm is in place - probably because it can't read the settings from the nand?) Sometimes, even if the luma setting...

    The "second pass" is just it going through all the different .romfs in the ROM, which Pokemon X has multiple. If the unfixable block count is going down then you can keep going, though if it's possible for it to get fixed, it's going take a while, unfortunately.

    I just bought some self adhesive semi-glossy photo paper and printed and cut them out on my own. 'ts probably not perfect, but it just has to look nice, not necessarily 1:1.

    You can do this by dumping the filesystem to the SD card, dumping the filesystem from a ROM file and then comparing them both using something like WinMerge

    Hmmm... Concerning that two people now reported 0 errors and the game still not verifying. Could you run the fixer on Omega Ruby again and see if that happens again?

    It's possible that a chunk has destabilized again when other chunks got fixed. Try running it a couple more times? Unless this is consistent... if so, try actually logging the results. Admittedly, all new features are untested, because, well, I don't have any broken carts to test them with :v

    It really isn't. Not even actual modern touchscreens are a good replacement for the resistive DS one. Games with heavy touchscreen use, like both the DS Zelda titles, really need to be played on real hardware to be properly experienced.

    I would just do regular runs (no SELECT), to be honest. That way, only the bad blocks are the only ones targetted (the others are only read once - if you use the SELECT mode then it attempts to refresh them all, and it takes much longer).     The only way to fix the chunks is to try using the tool over and over. If the unfixable chunk count is not decreasing in the logs, then the cartridge is probably toast. There's no way to reprogram a cartridge, unfortunately.
