Hacking Multiman and PS3NetSrv - use mygames.xml instead of scanning every launch?

I'm bumping this myself as I am coming back to this after nearly 2 years of no solution and not using my PS3 at all because of it. I'm wondering if it's just easier to hook up a massive ntfs drive and use managunz or Irisman. But I haven't got any experience with those. In any case, I'd still...

Saints Row reboot officially revealed, launches early next year

No, the last game was Agents of Mayhem, which follows on the world being rewritten by Gat and everyone losing their memories. So this is apparently a second branching timeline. Trailer looks good, hope they can keep the feel and not Ubisoft it.

CFW and Piracy. What do you think about them?

    - ¿Do you use CFW? If one is available for a console, even a brand new out of the box console, YES, every time. - ¿Do you think CFW is wrong? Not in the slightest, I think it's wrong that companies try to lock up their devices to prevent users from doing anything they choose to with them. I...

Hacking Multiman and PS3NetSrv - use mygames.xml instead of scanning every launch?

As I currently have a huge library of ISO format games I'm serving to my PS3, is there a way to run Multiman and not scan for games every time it starts up? In other words, can I have it do an initial scan and that's it, similar to xbox 360's Aurora behavior, or as I have Webman-Mod set to do...

Hacking What's the challenge with the XCI loader?

So then the better question is can the xci loader kip from SX OS be extracted, such that it can be run by Atmosphere? Hell, create yet another fake online identity to release it under if you feel you must, but the high horse argument is rather stale.

[UPDATE] Hekate CTCaer 5.0.0 released, introduces Nyx GUI & emuMMC support

"You will need sept and a custom secmon and warmboot binary to boot 7.0.0-8.1.0" meaning what? how is this set up on the SD card (since the last time I used it was under 6.2)?

Hacking TX Presents SX OS v2.7.1 - Minor Bugfixes

Use XCIs, don't install anything, stitch all dlc and updates into them with NSCB.

ROM Hack RELEASE NSC_Builder. Nintendo Switch Cleaner and Builder. (Game+updates+dlc in a single xci)

Also can't seem to build a combined xci+update for MK11, it goes through the process successfully but the xci is bad, no info or icon.

ROM Hack RELEASE NSC_Builder. Nintendo Switch Cleaner and Builder. (Game+updates+dlc in a single xci)

I got it from the zip file in releases. The python one didn't work for me the first time either, was looking for some old files, but a fresh download and clean install again fixed that apparently as the python beta is working smooth now.

ROM Hack RELEASE NSC_Builder. Nintendo Switch Cleaner and Builder. (Game+updates+dlc in a single xci)

Did a clean installation after using 0.79 for the longest time, and when I run 0.82 beta I get this error right away (and after every operation): File "c:\NSCB\ztools\squirrel.exe", line 1 SyntaxError: Non-UTF-8 code starting with '\x90' in file C:\NSCB\ztools\squirrel.exe on line 1, but no...

Hacking What's the challenge with the XCI loader?

An XCI loader and running the games from USB External HDD are the two things needed in the free CFWs, and why I feel I got my money's worth with SX OS from Day 1 - I consider it paying for the dongle, not for the software, the rest was gravy. I agree with the convenience argument, it's much more...

    Hacking Nintendont

I thought I had, but no, I hadn't deleted the folder, just the contents... weird that it would do that, but in any case, it's working now, and brilliantly. Thanks for the help and your patience pedro702. Now I have to merge my Wii and GC drive contents to the new 3TB drive before I can get down...

    Hacking Nintendont

Did all this, and it still hangs at the same place (though it took a second longer to get there). It does create a nincfg.bin at the root of the card now, I will attach that if it can help.

    Hacking Nintendont

definitely not the usb port as I was just running wii games from the same hard drive thru usb loader gx. It's definitely something Nintendont doesn't like as it also happens from the HBC (v1.1.2, I just checked to be sure it wasn't that HBC was too old, too). UGH! giving up for now as I need...

    Hacking Nintendont

Did that, and same as before. Whether thru the loader or homebrew channel, Nintendont is hanging at "Checking Storage Devices..." - the hard drive light flickers once when the message comes up (either drive), but then the console hard locks. EDIT: god damn this thread is dense... I just found...

    Hacking Nintendont

I just triple-checked and that doesn't exist on either drive, or the SD card... And the only place I have ever applied settings is in USB Loader GX. Is there anywhere else that I would have to look?

    Hacking Nintendont

I deleted the controller inis in "controller" as I'm not using them, but i don't have any ninconfig.bin on my SD card that I can find, and no controller.ini was on the root of the SD.

    Hacking Nintendont

Any tips for getting Nintendont to not hang on "Checking Storage Devices..." and freeze the Wii U to the point I have to pull the power cord? I updated to 5.486 today before trying a new drive, a 3TB WD MyBook USB 3.0 (formatted MBR, FAT32, 32K clusters) and the Wii games work but with GC games...

ROM Hack RELEASE NSC_Builder. Nintendo Switch Cleaner and Builder. (Game+updates+dlc in a single xci)

@alimao there's only an advantage to merging if you're merging to a single xci and don't want to install nsps at all. if you're going to install one, installing a few more isn't much effort, and is known to work... just saying...
