    Faulty in what way? I presume Instinct is capable of booting without the CPU (hence the NO-SD screen). Is there something in the install process that could have caused the CPU to go boom? On a side note, OP mentioned flashing the console - How would one go about doing this?

    The only way to check is to physically inject a payload and see if there is any success. There is no other definitive way.
