Yeah, currently I'm passing on the Steam Machine since the price is a joke.
However whenever I'll be getting (or building) one, I will indeed use either Chocolate or one of the software solutions to use my Steam Deck for that. However the original Wii U GamePad (aka Chocolate) is to be preferred...
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting about DS all the time although it could make sense, especially with the two potential MiSTer handhelds (Multisystem and Taki) that are coming within the next few years.
Only a few weeks ago we were finally able to play Wind Waker via the new Dolphin port. Now we can even run the HD remaster... in full speed.
What the hell is happening? :D
Thank god I don't have to complete the Pokédex like in some other hacks to be able to obtain it. Catching all legendaries and beating all trainers is something I'd do anyway so that's fine.
Had to google this one. So it's "just" a collection of the first three NES games + a few nice shenanigans.
I probably wouldn't play the old NES games again (and if, not on a Wii/Dolphin) but as for all the bonus material I'd love to dig into it once it's translated. :)
Saw that. Crazy imho. It might never run 100% perfectly/glitch-free but the fact alone that ANYTHING from the DC is running on the MiSTer is quite an achievement. That being said, I don't really care about DC all that much. Funnily enough the MiSTer caps out exactly at what I'm interested in the...
Kill me but I like it. Been playing MTG Arena for years at this point but having Spiderman, Turtles and currently the Avengers in my Brawl Deck feels wrong and nice at the same time. I kinda like it.
I wish the same would happen to the Wii U. The homebrew scene is only mediocre. There's Aroma which is awesome but for example RetroArch for Aroma is somewhat stuck for months (apart from Ploggy's inofficial package) and not that much is happening there although it is obviously more powerful...
I agree. The only question is, is it worth it to keep my S2 offline from now going forward or is it enough to keep it offline as soon as a news about an exploit drops (since Ninty needs a few days to push a FW update then anyway).
Good job. Are you Silver from Insta by any chance?
Is there a list of all available homebrew ports btw (apart from ALTTP and SMW). I think I saw a few by independent people here and there on Reddit but unfortunately I didn't keep track of them all.
Edit: What's that (nice) Link image in this...
Thank you for this. It is nice tool but unfortunately DQM1+2 is exactly the type of game where this wouldn't help.
Not only won't it be able to map the official english names for all the monsters (obviously), it's also a super tricky game to translate due to very limited characters (exactly what...
Great ovewview. Would be nice to also have links to gbatemp discussions (if available) after the github links. :P
And are these "just" ports from Android games to Horizon oder Switch ports in general? Because the spoiler tag says Android ports.
While I don't care about Robopon Moon (I don't even know it), I don't mind vibe coding as long as it gives me things I wanted (from a consumer's perspective).
So while you're at it, would you be able to achieve what generations failed on?
Translating THIS...
