    In normal circumstances where neither the first or second 3DS are banned, what happens to the first 3DS's seed? Does the server assign it a new seed? Because I assume they try to make it so each 3DS has a unique one.

I got nothing but soft bricks following multiple different guides correctly and made sure to check the MD5 hash...

    Not everyone does, and a lot of guides say to do the format afterwards with the sole purpose of unlinking your sysNAND from your NNID.

    I did nothing incorrectly and always got a soft brick because I didn't want to do a system format. Not everyone has had to, but I'm one of the unlucky ones.

    Or better yet, a way to delete whatever save data is resulting in a corrupted 9.2 sysnand (I assume it's something that was added in 9.6, as I have been able to successfully downgrade to 9.6).

    Is there absolutely, positively no way to do this on sysnand 10.3? Even with memchunkhax2? I don't even want to transfer to another 3DS. I just want to back it up, system format, downgrade, then restore the save.

    From what I read, you can't because it requires Nintendo's certificates.

    ^That too. Mine didn't successfully downgrade without doing a system format, so you may want to ensure your one chance goes right.

    If the copy of OoT3D is not hacked yet, make sure you don't go online with that 3DS at all until you set up the Tubehax DNS so you can use browserhax. My browser was blocked without my ever opening the browser.

    Downgrading my O3DS to 9.2 or 9.0 never works for me. I always get "An error has occurred. Hold the POWER button [...]" message and have to do a recovery. Is there any specific reason downgrading to, say, 7.2.0-17U, would be a good deal riskier?
