Name the Switch successor: what should Nintendo call its new console?

Assuming it'll be very similar to foldable cellphones, why not "Nintendo Fold"? lol

Mega Man ZX gets a playable Fandub mod

It's also worth mentioning the Audacity version required for editing sounds from the game isn't an official one, but instead a fork exclusively for it. The reason is that the required codecs for the game aren't officially released yet, AFAIK. That's the only way of editing the audio files from...

Mega Man ZX gets a playable Fandub mod

Wow, that's pretty cool. Megaman ZX was definitely a game that should receive a proper American dub, although only its sequel, ZX Advent, received one. I was one of the ROM hackers that released the undub version for DS platforms, together with our PT-BR translations. We did that by getting the...

Streets of Rage 2 ported to PC by fans, features widescreen and online multiplayer support

That's awesome news. Just bought it on Steam and tried quickly an online match with a random player. Worked fine. Gotta test this later with 4 players on Mania. Might be awesome, but also a mess with dozens of thugs running like hell.

    Sonic mania 3ds port released!

Is it New 3DS exclusive? Mine is an Old 3DS, and I'm interested in testing it on my device. What about loading times, is it only me, or it's taking a long time to load menus even for a New 3DS? And what about sound? Is it not working for now, or was it your device that was muted?

The Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit fan remake has been released

That's cool. and it seems the game was developed in GameMaker. Any chances of the game being ported to other platforms such as Linux or Android? If true, then we'll be able to run it on lots of different devices through box86, such as Raspberry Pies or Anbernic portable devices.

Homebrew nds-bootstrap adds DSi mode support, TWiLight Menu++ updated to include it

Wow, that's really nice. Being able to play DSiWare on 3DS without having to install it as a CIA is awesome. I'm looking forward to DSiWare saving support in the future. It'll help a lot, for romhacking purposes in games such as Shantae or Zelda Four Swords.

Homebrew Discussion Streets of Rage remake V5 - Switch port

Searching in BennuGD's forum, I found out that some guys in there got access to Switch SDK and are porting BennuGD's binaries to Switch. Once ported, games based on BennuGD such as SORR should work. They're still having trouble in porting process, so they still haven't finished. Dunno where you...

[Update] RetroArch servers and repositories have been hacked

Damn, why hack RetroArch servers and repos? They're doing an excelent job maintaining a lot of emulators within a same interface, and even having a pretty decent netplay functionality. I use them a lot in RetroPie, in a Raspberry Pi. I understand if some of the guys behind RetroArch were doing...

Homebrew Which game should i port to 3DS? (Read Post for more info)

Horizon Chase. It's a retro racing game inspired by classics such as Top Gear for SNES and Lotus 3 for Amiga. It was made on Unity if I'm not mistaken.

Tutorial Setting up No$gba for DSiWare emulation

Thanks for the tutorial. It was really useful for configuring No$GBA in order to run DSiWare games. I grabbed latest version of No$GBA (3.02), got all DSi bioses, obtained a NAND backup with some games and got a 512mb virtual SD from your attached file. Then I followed your tutorial, put...

Homebrew Discussion Streets of Rage remake V5 - Switch port

About the fullscreen issue, RetroPie on Raspberry Pi 4 devices changed the way it resizes windows, so unfortunately the only way of running apps such as SORR in fullscreen is by reducing RetroPie resolution to the one used by the app (in the case of SORR, it's 640x480 IIRC). This link has a...

I'm super confused about this Nintendo source code leak

In the case of TF2, source code leaking can lead to disavantages due to the game being mostly online (there may have leakings about user accounts, per example). And since all Valve FPS Games already runs natively on Linux (due to Steam porting their game themselves), there's almost no advantage...

    Homebrew GBARunner2

Last weekend, I installed Twilight Menu ++ on my DS Lite, and used GBARunner2 to play Donkey Kong Country 2's GBA version. To me, it looked like the battery consumption was likely the same from what I remember playing a few GBA games with a EzFlash on slot-2 (although it was almost 10 years...

    COVID: The Outbreak announced

Hey, is this game really a bad joke? Just read the game synopsis in this post, and at least in this game you play as people trying to find a way out of the covid-19 outbreak. You don't play as a virus whose objective is kill everyone. Assuming that, in this game, you can deal with stuff such...

Homebrew How to translate to a wad to a dsdoom wad

@Sebastien_Farnum Have you tried your wad on DsDoom with and without the MBF, just to confirm if the reason why it crashes is because of the MBF dog? Have you tried another custom wad with MBF support on DsDoom, just to make sure if it really supports MBF? Depending of the results of those...

Homebrew What is the best way to emulate games on the 3DS

@RyuShinobi500 If by itself you mean a .CIA that installs it, then no. GBARunner2 is a NDS application, not a 3DS one. You'll have to run it with a DS flashcard, or by using nds-bootstrap through TWLoader, by following TWiLight Menu++ instructions.
