    Yes, I ended up contacting NDSGamer.com (I bought the R4 from them) and they sent me a new and tested R4i Gold free of charge. Loaded it with Wood 1.60 and everything worked FANTASTIC!

    They shipped the first one and I got it in 3 days. The next day I sent an email saying it wasn't working and they immediately shipped a new one that they already tested. I received it 3 days later (today) and it works perfect. I highly recommend ordering game karts from NDSGamer.com

    So do you guys think it would be the R4i Gold kart, the MicroSD, MicroSD reader, or the 3ds? Also, keep in mind i've tried 4 different MicroSDs (PNY, Kingston, SanDisk, ATA) amd 2 different card readers (the ones that the R4 comes with). Thanks.

    I totally feel your pain. I'm having the exact same problem with my R4i Gold only mine freezes on the loading screen. I'd go ahead and try a couple different SD cards and make sure you download the kernel from r4ids.cn. Try a couple of different clean ROMs too. Hope this helps. If you figure out...

    Can I do that with just a 3DSXL on 5.1.0-11? Edit 1: Attached an image of what happens to the MicroSD after turning off the DS (or returning to home screen) after it freezes on "Loading".

    I'm going to try this out and I'll get back to You. Edit 1: Unfortuantly this didn't work. It still hangs on the "Loading" screen and corrupts the MicroSD. The one I'm using now is the same in the picture. 4GB SanDisk

    It's any game I put on the MicroSD. I've tried about 10 different ones and made sure they are all clean. Edit 1: SNES and NEW emulators seem to work fine. It's just NDS games.

    Here are my steps. Format SD card with SD Formatter Copy over Wood 1.5x (tried 5 different versions) Copy over 1 DS game (tried multiple ROMs) Load Konami Digital Entertainment Try and load NDS ROM Freezes on "Loading" screen.

    Yeah, It looks to be the exact card. The only difference is mine has "RTS" on the front, but i think thats just a packaging difference. I have a 3DSXL on 5.1.0-11U and an R4i Gold with 1.59, but every time I load a DS game it freezes on the "Loading" screen.\ Emulators work fine on it though.

    Once I re format the MicroSD and move eveything back over (Kernal) it works fine, until I try and load a DS rom. But once I load a DS rom and it freezes on the "LOADING" screen, I have to turn it off manually and at that point it seems to corrupt. As long as I don not launch a DS game though...

    Not sure exactly, one is a 2GB PNY and the other is a 8GB Kingston. They are from different places I'm sure, but I don't exactly know where. I'm very confident it isn't the MicroSDs, I used the 2GB for my old R4 card for NDS a while back and it never gave me problems.
