Homebrew ap patch for twilight menu ++

I like the "DS-Scene Room Tool" myself. Works with all the no-intro dumps I throw at it, so I don't have to hunt down specific scene dumps, and let's you trim at the same time. Took some time to hunt down a very up-to-date copy with the patches for Pokemon B/W 2, but it was worth it and all...

Homebrew TWLbf - a tool to brute force DSi Console ID or EMMC CID

You boot a copy of Linux that boots from a ramdisk like TinyCore so the boot SD card can be removed and replaced with the DSi. You can then use a command like this to get the CID: sudo cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid You can use the dd command to image the card, both to get your dump and flash...

Homebrew nds-bootstrap loader: Run commercial NDS backups from an SD Card

I actually get the freezing intro with an unmodified rom and it also happens when I use a flashcart. I just skip that part by tapping A fast, rest of the game works great.

Homebrew Black screen with TwilightMenu++ on 3ds

You need to follow that guide like Robz8 said in the first reply. I'm not really sure why it would break your internet connection though, hopefully it will resolve when DSi mode is fixed. I did the NTR bootrom exploit myself and was not lucky enough to have this issue.

Homebrew Black screen with TwilightMenu++ on 3ds

Just to be clear, when you open System Settings -> Internet Settings -> Nintendo DS Connection, it boots into DSi mode properly letting you setup wifi for DSi games?

Homebrew Are there any good guides on hard-modding a DSi?

Yes, you can swap the motherboard as long as they are both the same type. You misunderstand my post though, if you click on "Hardware NAND Mod Guide", you can find pictures of the possible points you can solder to in order to hardmod. It shows you points for 1-bit bus mode using CLK, CMD, and...

Homebrew Are there any good guides on hard-modding a DSi?

Check the DSi Downgrading thread, it has pictures describing which points to solder. https://gbatemp.net/threads/dsi-downgrading-the-complete-guide.393682/ More descriptive guides can easily be found for the 2ds/3ds, the process of dumping is nearly identical. I found that the linked Anker...

Homebrew DSi Downgrading - The Complete Guide

First you bruteforce for the ranges provided, then for sequential values from the ranges provided. So like 08A15-08A21 and 08201-08204, and if that does not find it, expand to something like 08A10-08A14, or 08A22-08A25, etc. twlbf does not support that, only bfcl which requires a graphics card...

Homebrew DSi Downgrading - The Complete Guide

Thanks for the recommendation, that's the usb 3.0 version of the reader I used, ordered one as a backup. Pin 3 has two contacts so it can detect if a card is inserted, you can bridge them so you don't have to insert a card for it to work. The first example is in this post...

Homebrew DSi Downgrading - The Complete Guide

I finally got around to hardmoding my DSi so I could run the codeboot exploit and cfw. Thought I'd share some of the roadblocks I hit. I bought the Anker card reader from the Amazon link in the guide, and the reader I received does NOT work in 1-bit bus mode or with my DSi eMMC at all. The...

    Hacking QQ3DS, K3DS and R5 aren't clone of Sky3ds

Clones are a product of reverse-engineering, board layouts and components are (at least slightly) different. In this case, the carts are exactly the same, just re-branded. You'd be splitting hairs to make the distinction, but it does mean all those other carts are of the exact same quality as...

    Hacking Gateway or Sky3ds?

With Gateway, you install on emuNAND. With Sky3DS, you install on the sysNAND.

    Hacking Gateway or Sky3ds?

Sky3DS does not "emulate" a game cart, I don't know where you guys keep getting that from. It uses an exploit that will almost certainly patched this update cycle. You'll have all the 3DS games up to a little more than 6 months from now, but that's it.

Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

Because they both came back up around the time SuperSVGA posted.

    Hacking Gateway or Sky3ds?

Your thinking of the 7.x keyx leak. It's used for decrypting roms for use in emulators or extracting resources. It can also be used for modifying roms if the sig checks are patched on the 3ds. Gateway has had that key for a while, since omega 2.3b.

Hacking 9.3.0-21 Nintendo 3DS Update Released

Sure, but it will take quite a while to get to that point, even under the best conditions. Gateway is what pirates want. They have lots of experience, unique hacks (specifically emuNAND, if they get it working), and lots of money to throw at further support. NinjaHax and Gateway using the same...

Hacking 9.3.0-21 Nintendo 3DS Update Released

NinjaHax, Sky3DS, and Gateway all chain exploits to achieve their goal. Sky3DS does not emulate a cart, magically or otherwise. It's very likely only one exploit was burned by 9.3.0-21, one used by both NinjaHax and Gateway. Nintendo was trying to block NinjaHax, Gateway 9.x hasn't been...
