Hacking Who does(n't) have lag in Pokemon Platinum

Well if the lag is lke that on the retail cart, then I have no complaint. Definitely not imagined though, there is a very noticeable difference on no$gba. It's more an annoyance though, and I probably wouldn't have made an issue if I hadn't seen the difference in no$gba. Edit: Actually, I...

Hacking Best 2gb/4gb MicroSD/SDHC card to get?

It seems to be that way with all memory cards. I have a kingston japanese 2gb and a transcend 4gb class 6, and I experience lag with both of these. I think all the people that say they have no lag just don't notice it.

Hacking Who does(n't) have lag in Pokemon Platinum

Yes I think most people think I'm talking about graphical lag, but it's more delayed loading when browsing the bag items and the black screen loading, which I guess people don't notice. Perhaps if people play the retail card or on an emulator they'll see.

Hacking Who does(n't) have lag in Pokemon Platinum

Yeh I did. It was mostly just a bunch of people complaining and making ignorant statements, and I couldn't form any conclusions.

Hacking Who does(n't) have lag in Pokemon Platinum

I have an acekard2.1 running AKAIO 1.4.1 and a kingston japanese 2gb microsd card. I find that I experience a noticeable load delay when switching out of the pokemon view screen, moving out of buildings etc. (it's about 1 second longer than no$gba) The scrolling speed when scrolling through...

Hacking AKAIO 1.4.1-Prop not working with Grand Theft Auto Multi-Card play

I think you can set it so that when you run gta it automatically uses ak4menu as the loader.

Hacking AKAIO 1.4.1-Prop not working with Grand Theft Auto Multi-Card play

You can use akaio and the official loader together. Just put akmenu4.nds from the official into ak2loader in the _aio directory. You can also rename the akmenu4.nds in to eg ak4.16.nds. Once you've done this you use the official loader from within akaio.

    Linux Modem Clue

Yes, I'd also recommend the forums there. I don't have no experience with PCMCIA modems, but with a modem which plugs into the serial port, you just point the dialer to /dev/ttyS0 (or similar). I'm guessing this'll be different with PCMCIA. I'm not running (x)ubuntu atm, so I can't check this...

    Linux Modem Clue

Show us the place where it was listed as linux compatible. Generally, hardware modems are easier to set up than software modems (as the above poster said). It would just be plug, select serial port perhaps, and dial.

Hacking You don't need to buy screen covers!!

I agree with the folks bringing forth the following points: being able to "fix" the scratches if deep ones appear, and that dust, grit, and siblings really can damage the screen. Perhaps those who do not have scratched screens after a year live in really clean areas/are sole players/are really...

Hacking DS Lite screen scratches too easily

In my experience, screen protectors do help to hide scratches. Scratches which are not deep may become completely hidden.

Gaming DS (using M3) Only allows one save at a time?

Maybe you don't have autosave turned on and your m3 is using sram only for save management? Check in the options menu for that.

    Linux Distributions

I'm using arch linux exclusively. I've also used mandriva, debian sid, ubuntu dapper&edgy (in order beginning about 3 years ago). Mandriva(mandrake when I used it) was nice when I first started, but once I tried apt, I found it's urpmi and graphical package manager apps to be very slow. I also...

    Hacking Touch Screen not working

Try clearing the sides of the touchscreen (under the casing) out. The touch screen may be constantly pressed down on the side, hence it does not work when pressed at any other point.

Hacking First DS... these things normal?

So do these come up whether you are moving or not? Well they definitely sound different to the ones I'm thinking of, but you'd may as well try adjusting those anyway. But how many games do these appear in? All gba? What about DS? (because the ones I fixed appear on both DS and gba)

Hacking First DS... these things normal?

First make sure they are the lines I think they are, your description sounds strange. Do they appear when you scroll vertically, for example, in zelda:lttp, when you walk upwards, you should see them on the grass, on trees, or on buildings. What you have to do is get a very small screw driver...

Hacking First DS... these things normal?

For those lines when vertically scrolling, you should be able to "tune" the screen voltages. I know on the original DS model, there are two sorta screw like things under the battery cover. These change the voltage to the screen and help get rid of the scrolling lines. There should be something...
