Not that I'm that worried but just out of curiosity what should I look for when screening wads to find out if they're the wrong ones or not?
If necessary I'd prefer you use an example involving the games I mentioned.
So what? I find the wad file on the internet for "retro city ransom", download it, and install the wad using multi mod manager? >.> that all seems too easy. Isn't there some kind of ticket system that verifies that the game is legit?
And how do I go about that? My wii is indeed hacked. I've used MMM to help me install wad forwarders (that send me to various emulators from the main menu) but I've never installed any wads that actually have any kind of girthy data on them... just shortcuts.
Before transferring all my Wii data and downloaded games to my Wii U, used an app to save a restore point (bootmii I think) so that once I transferred all my legally downloaded games to my Wii U, I could simply do a system restore and get them all back on my Wii as well - essentially having them...
Ok I still seem to be having issues. The app works now but I still can't seem to get the file to copy over. I find the mario kart file on the sd card (I think) and no matter what option I choose I can't find the save file directory on the vwii and when I simply try to use any default options it...
I have a legal copy of a virtual console game from another one of my wii consoles but as you probably figured out, I can't play it on any wii I please. The game cannot be emulated via homebrew emulators. I know that in order for these games to be allowed to run on any system, the system itself...
Total noob question but, how do i download this app that you say works on the vWii? I see that beta .dol thing but where do i place it on my sd card to get it to work? Usually theres a folder i get that says "apps" to indicate it goes in the apps folder, or at the very least i see a folder with...
Using the savegame manager on the wiiu's vwii is impossible so i did a little digging and found that i should install this cios thing. Heres where i read it:
http://gbatemp.net/threads/cant-view-wii-saves-in-vwii-using-savegame-manager-gx.340189/
(airline38's post)
so i went to the guide...
I've run many. I have Priiloader, I've used modmii to update all my IOS's i've installed ios236 and so forth... I've used bootmii to backup my wii... lots of stuff.
I tried that wiilauncher and when i hit reboot (after setting the option) then go back to the save file menu, the copy and move...
how do i know if my ios36 is patched or not... i honestly havent a clue. I'm pretty sure i got the save file already copied so copying it isn't really the problem, its getting the file onto the wii u thats the issue... hell i cant even do it with my wii... how would i normally get a game like...
I have a save file on Mario Kart Wii thats further along than the one on my Wii U and I want to copy it over. I tried using SaveGame ManagerGX from the homebrew browser but all I've managed to do is extract (i think that means copy) my save game from my Wii system onto an SD card. When I start...
I've recently had time to finally sit down and try to figure out what that network option does in vbaGX and SNES9x GX ... to my dismay i've found no real concrete clues as to what its for. What i'm hopping its there for is to enable some kind of internet-type multiplayer on some of these old...
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
