    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Okay. I was using a 120 GB hard drive before, now using a 250 GB. Good to know. I may be able to help with testing if required.

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Using Linux on my Wii to write a game to a WBFS partition on an attached USB hard drive using the --raw option in wwt 2.03a (which I notice you have deleted from your download page) causes a Error 001 when I try to boot it. Using --psel data instead avoids his error but I want to know why --raw...

    Gaming Upcoming Wii releases

Project Zero/Fatal Frame II: Deep Crimson Butterfly comes out on June 28 in Japan and in Europe on the 29th. It's a remake of Crimson Butterfly, the 2003 sequel to the 2001 original.

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

It would be good if d2x did the equivalent of hdparm -B 255 --prefer-ata12 at startup. Doing this disables APM so the hard drive will not enter standby mode (i.e. it won't spindown).

Hacking Segmentation fault error with WWT

Only the partition table is bad. This is a minor issue which should not cause WWT to choke. Are you going to fix this?

Hacking Segmentation fault error with WWT

Thanks, but I'm really only interested in WWT verifying the game/data partition as ok (but mentioning the missing partitions) on my WBFS volume when wwt verify -A --include RSBP01 is performed, or at least skipping over RSBP01 and continuing on to verify the rest of the WBFS volume(s) when wwt...

Hacking Segmentation fault error with WWT

Ok, sent _trace-wwt.tmp to you. BTW, here is the output of wit verify Super_Smash_Bros._Brawl.iso. The Super_Smash_Bros._Brawl.iso file is identical to what is on my WBFS volume. As you can see, it verifies ok with no segmentation fault but wit gives errors regarding missing partitions...

Hacking Segmentation fault error with WWT

Ok, built the debug version, then did wwt verify RSBP01 -A. I've got a 133,091 byte file named _trace-wwt.tmp to send to you. Where do you want me to send it?

Hacking Segmentation fault error with WWT

I have Easy Wii Linux installed on my Wii. I compiled and ran WWT on my Wii. I get a segmentation fault error when trying to verify my WBFS volume: root@debian:~# wwt verify -A ***** wwt: Wiimms WBFS Tool v2.03a r0 linux - Dirk Clemens - 2012-01-03 ***** WBFSv1 #1/1 opened: /dev/sda1 +OK...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

The PAL version of A Boy And His Blob appears to have some sort of protection that scrubbing and/or removal of the update partition triggers. With NeoGamma this manifests itself as a loading error message when running off DVD and as loading never completing when running from an WBFS volume...

Hacking bricking issues in official updates to 4.3 from <4.3 system menu

At some point between 5 October and 11 November I used the 4.3 system menu (which I had manually installed) to update in order to get all installed IOSes up to the latest version. IOS 222 and 223 were stubbed when this was done, even though nothing was present in those slots, but IOS 249...

    Hacking NeoGamma R9 beta

Yes, it turns out it was my fault. I had thought that going into the home menu and performing the reconnect procedure was all you needed to do to get a new remote to work permanently with your Wii. I got it working properly by following the guide here...

    Hacking NeoGamma R9 beta

After some more searching: Yes, PID is definitely different (was 0x0306, now 0x0330). However, changing software (e.g. Dolphin) to recognize this seems to help slightly but it does not make the remote usable, so it appears other changes have been made to the new remotes too...

    Hacking NeoGamma R9 beta

Judging from things I've read Nintendo have changed the name and maybe also the product ID of the new remote. I assume this has been discovered by using the Bluetooth Service Discovery Protocol.

    Hacking NeoGamma R9 beta

I currently have NeoGamma R9 beta 50 installed on my Wii. I've just discovered that NeoGamma (or any other homebrew I've tried so far for that matter) doesn't work with the gold remote that came with Skyward Sword. That remote works perfectly in games and in the system menu but when I start...
