    PS1/2 I can't get the disc swap trick to work

    I have the SPCH-7501 NTSC PS1 and i have burnt a Japneese copy of Crash Bandicoot 3 and a USA copy of Abe's Exoddus. I am trying to do the swap disk trick to work but I get as far as the screen going black and I swap the burnt disc back and nothing happens.
