Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

I guess IOS 249(56)-v21 is the original cIOS rev21 by Waninkoko, and IOS 249(56)-v7 is cIOSX d2x v7, which is a modified and optimized version based on cIOS rev21. You only need to install cIOSX d2x v7, just see this thread : http://gbatemp.net/topic/277659-ciosx-rev21d2x-yet-another-hot-fix/

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

@norbyte : I followed your advice but the problem is still there. Thanks for your help anyway, it's appreciated. I opened a new issue on d2x google code.

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

Thanks for your answer. So, I've done more tests : 1/ I found a way to make the DLC work in partial NAND emulation mode. Copying "/title" folders and subfolders is not enough. You also have to copy the "/ticket" folders and subfolders in the emulated NAND folders. 2/ I keep having the error...

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

I've just done some NAND emulation tests using the latest USB loader GX (rev 1123) and d2x v7 final, and I have a few questions : 1/ Is it possible to use DLCs directly from the emulated NAND using partial emulation ? I tried using The Beatles Rock Band DLCs (they are stored in the folder...

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

That's right. Thanks for your help. Another thing : I also met the lag problem when playing U-Sing 2 from HDD with NAND Emulation (using sorg's UniiLoader). But there certainly is a solution, since Hermes found a way to fix this problem (U-Sing 2 works perfectly with his cIOS, rev 5.1, base 57).

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

No lag with a backup dvd (I used NeoGamma R8 + cIOS249[57]-v21d2x2). It seems that the problem only exists when playing from HDD (tried with an other HDD, the lag also occurs).

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

I tested it, and that's really weird. wbfs folder from SD card => no lag wbfs folder from USB HDD => lag Did you get the same results ? If yes, I assume it's another problem in the EHCI or in the FAT module ?

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

@sock99 : Thanks for your help. That's strange. I really don't know what to think about this issue. I think I'll play GH:WoR with retail disc and all my other games with USB loading, and that will be fine. @davebaol : Thanks a lot for still being opened to new suggestions and improvements (and...

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

Hate to bump my posts, but it seems this one get lost at the bottom of page 16 -> nobody has an idea of what is happening ? BTW, I found another problem existing in Waninkoko's cIOSX and not in Hermes one (base 57). When you load the karaoke game U-Sing 2 (any language), everything's fine until...

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

Some explanations first : - I've used 3 differents USB hubs : an USB 1.1 hub (noname), an USB 2.0 hub (provided with the "We Sing: 2 microphones" pack), and the Rock Band 3 Keyboard dongle, that is also an USB 1.1 hub. - I've done my tests using d2x-v2, IOS56 base. - HDD was always plugged on...

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

@eN-t : Yes, we're talking about a modified version of cIOSX rev 21 by Waninkoko, so it has nothing to do with the original IOS58. Some homebrews (some USB loaders, WAD managers, etc...) let you choose at startup which IOS slot you want to use. But I don't use WiiMC, so I can't answer for this...

@tj_cool : Thanks for renaming the topic! @jordan_ch : I don't know the answer for your question, but if it's not directly related to the controller lag fix, maybe you should ask this in the official topic about ModMii.

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

@WalkerOfTheDay: there already is this topic about ciosX rev21. It would be great to rename the current topic to "cIOSX rev21: controller lag fix", but only a moderator or an administrator can rename it (if one of them is reading, could you please do that ?). Anyway, I'll update the first post...

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

I played the same track I'm used to play to do my tests, and it seems that you're totally right ! I unplugged my LAN Adapter, and these small freezes disappeared. Thanks a lot ! rev21dx seems to be a good idea ! Davebaol and xabby666 have done a great job. And since the controller lag issue...
