    Hacking FInal Fantasy III freezes

If it's a mSD issue then it was created by AKAIO and not the card itself since it runs well with 1.6RC2 and with the official Acekard firmware.. right? I just wanted to know if it was it just me or other people were having this problem with this game, i'm not going to buy a new card just because...

    Hacking FInal Fantasy III freezes

Yep, ur right.. it seems it freezed because of the looping sound. I quickly reverted to 1.6 RC2 just to test and it works with that version like always did.. I'm using a taiwan 4GB kingston SDHC.. i have a faster sandisk card but i can only test with it tomorrow. Hoping some more people can also...

    Hacking FInal Fantasy III freezes

Hey guys! So.. basically my FF III dump stopped working since akaio 1.7 was released, i installed 1.8.5(a) yesterday and it stayed the same. I haven't tried another dump nor i tried with another sd card, i was just hoping some of you guys had the rom at hand and could give it a try to see if...

Hacking Acekard 2i AKAIO Game slowdown

You can be lucky and get a good card from those you mentioned, but they can also suck.. I really don't know which ones are better, lexar has god cards i just don't know if they are the same you are going to buy. It would be great if you could find a 4GB non-sdhc, they are rare but even the...

Hacking Acekard 2i AKAIO Game slowdown

The more they cost, the better.. Not always of course but performance always comes with its price. Lexar isn't bad but better brands exist, the class of the card isn't really THAT important since 2MB/sec (class 2) is somewhat enough for the DS, it's the timings (access time) that are important...

Hacking Acekard 2i AKAIO Game slowdown

Speed problems tend to increase with the capacity of the card. Only top notch cards can keep up with good speeds as they get more capacity.. So a 5€ 2GB SDHC class4 card will be faster than a 10€ 4GB SDHC class4 (same brand and model). Try a smaller capacity card if you have one (search your...

Hacking Acekard 2i AKAIO Game slowdown

Always use the Panasonic SD formatter (get it here or here) I don't know if it will solve your problem but it will avoid future ones.. PS: use full format (erase off), size adjustment off

Hacking Acekard 2i AKAIO Game slowdown

Clones running akaio 1.7? @ObeyTheBear: I also noticed a big slowdown when i changed my sandisk 2gb sd with a kingston 4gb class 4 sdhc (taiwan), but only in very demanding games like geometry wars (with lots of enemies).. not in games like Phoenix Wright. The yellow DMA mode didn't gave me...

Hacking System options go back to default

Thank you for your reply and sorry for the inconvenience. I did that because the panasonic formatter only formats the partition, it doesn't re-size it afaik.. that's what gparted was meant to do. But of course, i can be totally wrong. I will try and get back with the results.. PS: i did search...

Hacking System options go back to default

Ok, like you said, i had a bit of space that wasn't allocated so i made a new partition that would use all of the card space (with GParted). Then i formated it with the panasonic sd formatter. Downloaded akaio and the loaders again.. uploaded a random NDS file to the card.. set my preferences...
