    Looks like data corruption. I wiped the SD card ans reinstalled akaio, menus are working and looks like I'll have to reload everything. No worries, better that than bricking the card!

    That's pretty much it. Click on Alex Rider, then we're stuck on blue 'loading' screen, it never gets to the file system menu. This happened suddenly a few nights ago. I don't know what the boy was doing when it happened, but we had no trouble before this, Alex Rider, cheat DB's, all games...

    Yeah, the 8GB would not work on the R4 but works fine on the AceKard 2i. I am back to 2GB, thanks for reminding me!

    After using the Panasonic formatter on the 8 GB card, I have transferred the working rpg folder and DS_MENU.DAT file from a working 2 GB card. Still no luck. Could it be the 8GB card?

    You're right, the Acekard is creating .sav, not .SAV files. thanks for the heads-up on the converter, it doesn't seem to be working for me though. there are few enough of them to go through and rename the .SAV files to a different extension, then to .sav Thanks!
