Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I'm not sure where you're standing right now. You said previously you followed the guide, yet you're now saying you're not updated. What did you do, exactly? Anyway, assuming you just want to update your console to the latest, follow the guide (PC method, not the Switch method). Always best...

Profit? What was your goal, anyway, before you started this process? If it was just to update your system, then you're done.

Just exit without touching anything should be enough. Then recheck your System Settings as instructed by Hayato213 above.

I'm guessing a system update downloaded in the background, and now it wants you to install it. You know you can delete it by going into maintenance mode. You can do that by turning off the console, then restart while pressing both vol + and - down.

Things you recently bought or got

I got a Canon Laser printer too. Fine machine. No more damn inkjets printers for me either... always sure to get shitty results if you spend a few days without using it.

    Pegascape alternative?

I admire all the efforts and time you took to help those very few users who have a patched Switch and were using Pegascape. Sure, they could install a modchip, but to me, it's so much cooler to use that exploit. I hope they are grateful for what you did for them. You should post this message...

SDSetup, PegaScape, and homebrew.guide are shutting down indefinitely

It wasn't the best guide, but as Blythe93 mentioned, it still had some valuable information. As we approach the end-of-life of the Switch, I guess it's expected to see some hacking guides disappear. Luckily, the site was captured several times and can still be consulted on wayback machine...

You can't ask for warez, and you can't ask for links to warez. Google is your friend. Search by title id, usually it will give results.

Thanks for the pep talk! Cheers, friend! :grog:

Can we unpack switch roms and remove movies etc?

You would save yourself a lot of headaches just getting a bigger SD card. They're not that expensive. But if you enjoy messing with this stuff, it's perfectly understandable too. Several people here enjoy the hacking process more than actually playing the games (and that might include me too).

    thread of phobias/fears

Here, it's May 1st. But while I hated filling the income tax form several years ago, now it's a joke with the online filling. It practically fills itself up, no joke (it has access to the government's data on my income). It's a matter of maybe 30-40 minutes, if I take my sweet time to double...

DBI Issues-NSP files suddenly less than 1mb in size-Cant backup games via MTP

Probably never gonna happen. He probably had his reasons to keep it closed source, and his reasons probably didn't vanish when he abandoned the project. The only thing I hope will happen, is if a firmware update ever breaks the latest DBI version to make it unusable, he would look at it and...

    Stuff you just don't get?

Yeah, well, as far as I know, bumping is not allowed, or at least it's frowned upon. I suspect lots of these "replying to yourselves" posts are just to evade the no bumping rule. I wonder why it's possible to reply to your own post. I just find it weird.

    Stuff you just don't get?

Auto merge doesn't prevent people from quoting themselves. It just prevents you from posting a new message immediately after posting one. Reply to your message and you'll see what I mean.

    Stuff you just don't get?

I don't get why people quote themselves on this forum. Just say what you want to say once, no need to repeat yourself. Edit your post if you have something to add later, otherwise, you're just bumping. Example to follow. 1708860831 This is what I mean.

yellow screen after updating with Daybreak

Have you got the latest Atmosphere too? The usual order of updating the hacked Switch is Hekate, Atmosphere, sigpatches, HOS. It seems you started with HOS.

MTP should be just as easy as drag and drop the files. @Blythe93 are you the one who had a link to a video on how to use DBI? I can't remember. This might help him to figure it out.

Are you using a PC? Is your Switch unpatched and you can inject payloads in RCM? If you can inject payloads with TegraRCM GUI, DBI should work too for USB transfers. It's just a matter of using the right drivers. MTP should just work, though.

Should parents have the right to track their children?

This seems a little extreme for such a rare occurrence as a kidnapping, but if it saves just one child's life, then I'm all for it. To answer the question, parents definitely should have the right to track their children, to ensure they remain safe.

    Fastest NSP to NSZ

Yes, I still use it very often. I'm using the -Q argument, so it does decompress the result file to test if everything worked ok. It shouldn't if you don't want it to. What command do you use, assuming you're using the CLI?
