I am still debating whether to do this. I located a 4.5 3DS XL and it will work with the Gateway but I'm dropping a lot of money for both that and the Gateway and I have a perfectly functional 3DS albeit one that can't use Gateway.
,
Well thanks for all the advice. I have located someone who is willing to sell a 3DS mario limited edition running 4.5 and am buying it for 100$ on Saturday. Hopefully I will be able to afford the Gateway card or similar card soon. Which card should I get?
I don't think it's worth buying another 3DS for 4.5 firmware. Especially since it is a pain in the ass to find. Oh well I hope they figure it out someday and if not at least I have one.
Well I definitely couldn't have predicted that the hack would only work on 4.1-4.5 when it finally came out so I'm not going to beat myself up about it. If it does take 2 years that I'm not sure I'll get it. Most likely it will have problems too.
I have a 3DS that is running the latest firmware. I hear that the only way to use a flash cart for 3DS is if you have firmware 4.1-4.5. This is the only way to run the file necessary to use the flash cart. After that you can upgrade and run it on the latest firmware. So this leads me to believe...
Ah see it didn't work for me until I started using usb loader gx's latest version. You're sure you got all the correct wads? And you are sure your hard drive is compatible? I had to use my bigger hard drive because my smaller one didn't work with gamecube games at all.
I labled them correctly and it still tells me I need to insert disc 1. It's as if it doesn't read the disc 1 and is stuck on disc 2. Any other suggestions?
What happens is it asks me what disc to load but when I try to load either disc now it automatically chooses disc 2. I then try to choose a file on disc one. It asks me to change discs then it does the whole gamecube error screen
I'm pretty sure both files are together and named correctly. But wait there are in gcm format. I needed to convert them to have them work. So should I rename them to iso instead of gcm?
