DS #3960: Dragon Quest IX: Hoshizora no Mamoribito (Japan)

Hm, I was afraid so; given that it says "unpublished goods" not "not-holding goods". Perhaps it's really an R4 save bug? Anyone else with R4 reading this would care to confirm? I do experience the abruptly-cut save chime, btw.

DS #3960: Dragon Quest IX: Hoshizora no Mamoribito (Japan)

Ok so when I alchemy stuff, I find it weird it doesn't show previews for items I already made; only for items I have at the moment. For example, if I make a special-cure-herb, then use it, the alchemy screen go back to the "unpublished goods" message (the same one as for items I never made)...

Is it playable without the touch screen? My daughter kind of completely destroyed mine by applying various kinds of foodstuff on it.

Just because you’re too lazy to learn a foreign language doesn’t mean other people are too.

Hey thanks for that. I have one of those SDHC battery-eater monsters and could never make cheats work with it. Will try later.

DS #3369: Mario and Luigi RPG 3 (Japan)

My R4 hangs in white screen when creating a new game, or in the mic test. Also, you guys really need to learn Japanese and be done with it.

Should have hired some actual artists and gone for cell-shading or 2D. Realistic 3D looks like crap in the DS. Besides, LoTR shoud be colorful. Anyone knows if this game features anything of Tolkien's artificial languages?

With Narikiri Dungeon 2 and 3 to play and the nice PSOne ToP, I'm not too eager to play ToP on GBA...

Now now, why is the USA version an "Awesome RPG" but the JP one a plain "RPG"? I give +1 for the subarashiiness of the original JP game

Great maybe I'll try it later. They could add a kanakanji magic button press, or even better, furigana! Nobody thinks of the Japanese learners.

Can anyone confirm whether you can choose between kanji text and pure hiragana text on this game, like in Final Fantasy I & II? I might want to flash it, though I'm still playing I & II...
