Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Wow, thank you so much for the information! Wondering if anyone else might happen to know what the last resistor (capacitor?)'s value is (referring to my original post's image)? I'll definitely place the order and give it a try as soon as I figure that out

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hey guys, I screwed up (OLED Kiosk model). Everything was going fine until I was bridging the connection for the 3.3v point. I accidentally got solder between some nearby resistors, and ultimately decided to use my hot air gun to pull them off the board. While this was a good backup solution, I...

any good places to buy an unmodded wii?

Have you tried eBay or OfferUp? You might even find some at your local Goodwill in the electronics section. That said, even if you're having trouble finding unmodded Wiis, there are guides that cover unmodding modded Wiis, like this one: I am curious why one would want to do this though...

Homebrew Issue with homebrew old 3ds 11.13.0-45

EDIT: Nevermind, this was a different issue altogether... Hey there. I just encountered this very same issue with my cousin's console as I was updating it for the holidays. I fixed it by visiting and downloading the boot.3dsx from smealum's homebrew page, replacing the one on the SD root (or...

Hacking Can I start from scratch?

I'm going to have to agree and say follow the written guide. Following videos can be outdated and, potentially, put you at a higher risk of bricking than if you followed the written guide (which very unlikely).

Hacking Powersaves 3DS - Samus Returns Issue

Sure! Checkpoint (for save management) and NTR CFW (for cheats) will work with both digitally-downloaded and physical copies of games.

Hacking Powersaves 3DS - Samus Returns Issue

You may want to consider getting homebrew/custom firmware on your 3ds instead, so that you can back up saves with Checkpoint and use NTR CFW for cheats. Here's a guide for how to do that, for free: https://3ds.hacks.guide/

Hacking Cant install cia games using FBI

Are you using arm9loaderhax (a9lh), boot9strap (b9s), or something else? (if you recently followed 3ds.guide, you're likely using b9s) Also, is your Luma CFW up-to-date? Please hold Select when you turn on your console, and tell us the Luma version you're running.

Hacking Safehax “unsupported firmware” error on 11.2.0-35E

Now when you say you restarted, do you mean you uninstalled boot9strap? Have you already tried holding Select while turning on your system? Maybe it was never unhacked and you still have CFW. By the way, uninstalling CFW is almost never the solution... Worst case scenario, you can update to...

    Hacking CFW installed?

Having "Ver" in your version string is totally normal even when running Luma. If you'd rather it said Sys/Emu, turn on your system while holding the Select button and enable "Show user string in System Settings," then press the Start button to save the config.

Hacking Seedminer or wait for smealum's exploit guide

These are all good replies. First reply costs $10+free shipping and comes from china, but it's currently the most effective way to play NDS games. Second reply basically summarizes the cheap option: Update to 11.8 and spend $2, or wait until smealum's new free exploit becomes available. Or...

Hacking rxTools, ReiNand and 11.3.0-36 firmware. Safe or not?

You're absolutely right! My bad, browserhax should do fine.

Hacking rxTools, ReiNand and 11.3.0-36 firmware. Safe or not?

Note that you will want to take out the SD card to boot into SysNand before you put the SD card back into your system: You need to install b9s to sysnand, not emunand. After installing b9s, you may move emunand to sysnand, and then proceed to update to 11.8.

Hacking [CFW] NEW METHOD ! (DSi Ware required)

But wait, isn't this just combining seedminer with the DSiWare Transfer method? You might as well just seedmine both systems individually: It avoids the need to call Nintendo to fix the NNIDs.

Homebrew Can't get into luma3ds configuration menu

I'm guessing you have A9LH based on your Luma version. Make sure that you hold Select before you hit the power button, and keep holding it until the menu shows up.

Hacking seedminer (single system DSiWare injection)

This is very cool! Any high or low end estimate of how long one should expect to take when doing this?

Hacking Gateway on 11.6 sysNand (with Luma)?

But wait, how did you get Gateway running on 11.6? I thought Gateway died on 11.4?

Hacking Selling my hacked 3DS, where can/should I?

For the sake of clarification in the thread, the trading/selling/buying section of the site isn't available until a user reaches 100 posts. Unless you're willing to make that many posts on here, you could try OfferUp or LetGo.

Hacking rxTools I set up in 2015, where to go now?

Have you had any luck with this? The instructions are actually pretty simple: 1) Boot your system without the SD card inside. 2) Once your system is on the SysNand Home Menu screen, pop the SD card back in and change your home menu theme to anything you want besides what it's currently set to...
