This strategy worked for me.
I have an external HD. About 200GB is a WBFS partition holding my wii backups. The rest is FAT 32.
I have Neogamma AND FCE ultra on my SD card (which I just leave in the Wii). When I run Neogamma, it seems to know to access the WBFS partition, when I run FCE...
I use Neogamma to load wii backups off of my external HD. Works perfectly.
Is it possible to play NES roms with Neogamma? i.e. load FCE ultra through Neogamma and then store my NES Roms on the USB drive as well?
I have a noob question.
I'm following Xzxero's guide. In the WAD manager, I don't have either:
cIOS249-v17.wad
cIOS250-v17.wad

I'm on a virgin 4.2 LU wii. Do I need version 17, or will 16 be ok
EDIT: Just re-downloaded the modify.zip file again and all...
New to the scene here...
I have a (new) virgin wii LU 1168XXXXX
I'm currently on 4.0 Is there any reason NOT to update to 4.2 and then mod? (Is there any advantage to keeping 4.0?)
I assume xzero's guide applies to virgin 4.2 Wii's as well?
I'm just a tad confused because one of the stickies has a note that says " instructions for virgin wii's will follow", and the beginning of xzero's guide has instructions for updating to 4.2 (which probably wouldn't require a guide if...
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
